Fast, lightweight purification and storage all in one
I bought this for an Appalachian Trail section hike. I previously had carried a Steri-Pen, which is a great product, but decided to try this out because it allows you to purify and store the water, thereby reducing the number of tools I needed to carry. Bottom line, it works great and I highly recommend it.

The unit comes with a fitted neoprene-type case for the purifier unit (the zipper pull on the case broke off almost immediately) and a flat cap for the bottle for storage. In slow flowing, shallow streams or spring outlets, I used a cup to scoop water, pre-filtered it through a Steri-Pen funnel pre-filter (mine is green silicone type material, I bought it on Amazon a couple years ago) to get rid of the particulates, and then ran the sterilization cycle once or twice depending on how much I thought it needed (the instructions say you only need to run the cycle once unless the water is really, really dirty).

love it
I really like this purifier. It worked perfectly in the Adirondack High Peaks unlike my steri-pen. I was pleasantly surprise to discover it fits on Camelbak Podium bottles. It was fully charged when I received it, so battery certainly hold a charge. Lighter than I expected and didn't warm the water like pumps can. Highly recommend!!!!!
Great 1st attempt - improvements needed
The device is simple enough to use, and is great for what I needed it for. It doesn't alter the taste of the water like chemical treatments do. Yes, it can purify only 750 mL at a time, but in comparison to other UV purifiers out there, they typically only go up to 1-liter per treatment anyway, and I like the slightly smaller 750 mL bottle for traveling with.

I recently traveled with the All Clear for one month in Asia. Specifically, I was in Hong Kong as well as three different locations in Indonesia. Hong Kong tap water is not really suitable for drinking, and boiling it was recommended for anyone consuming it.

I used the All Clear with all of the tap water I drank in Hong Kong and Indonesia, and even some of the bottled water that I believed may have been questionable. I never got sick, so I have no reason to believe that the All Clear doesn't work as advertised. I also had no difficulty carrying the All Clear bottle through airport security in my carry-on...

Awesome shoes for indoor/outdoor use!!
Bought these for spin class but also for outdoor cycling. Unlike a lot of the women's cycling shoes, they come in black and don't look like a watered down version of a man's cycling shoe. They are very well made, and are incredibly supportive to the foot. Like the other reviewer said, they do come with cleats but not the ones for use at spin; you will need to buy those separately (this can be done at most any bike shop, and they'll also put them in for you.) My only warning about these shoes is that the European sizing system is NOT consistent. After trying on different brands at a local bike shop, this became glaringly apparent. For this particular shoe, a woman's US size 8 is considered a EU size 40 (the box states it is a US women's size 7.8) However, they are in reality probably a nine. They were HUGE, and I had to return them. The EU 39 (on box, a US 7.2) fit perfectly. I'd strongly recommend finding a place to try these on before purchasing them, to save yourself the hassle.

Nice shoe
I bought my shoes for indoor cycling classes and they work great. They are surprisingly comfortable and I thought the size conversion chart was accurate. I wear a 9 1/2 and a 42 fits great. They are also a lot cuter than a lot of cycling shoes I've seen at the gym.
Great shoe, fit is an issue
I too read all the reviews before getting these shoes. I mean, idealistically, one shouldn't buy cycling shoes online, but when the price is right...we're willing to take a chance. The shoes arrived in mint condition. (Appreciated!) According to my shoe size, the women's Shimano 41 is 9 in US women's shoe sizes. Also, the width is a bit wider than I'd like. Most cycling shoes run narrow and I thought these would too. I do have a narrow foot but not so narrow as to give me issues when shoe shopping. When I put these on, they fit like an ample 9, and if they were a pair of high heels the arch would be gaping open. You know what I'm talking about ladies. When you look down and no matter how cute the shoes are, all you see is the arch of the shoe 1-2 inches away from the arch of your foot. Sigh, this was the case with the Shimano shoes, although in an enclosed shoe, of course. Since there is no crank on these shoes (3 velcro straps) it's a bit of a challenge to get them as tight around...

GREAT bike
This is a great bike. I gave one to my 2 and4 year old to share for Christmas. It is winter here so they ride it through the house all the time. My son has really struggled with 2 wheel bikes because the typical bike easily crashes when you turn the handle bars too hard. This bike is made so the turning radius is very small. The bike is light enough that he just picks it up a little to make a big turn. No problem. He goes sailing through the house now with NO crashing. Once the weather is good enough to go outside he is going to have a ball. He will definately graduate to a standard bike after this teaches him balance. He should be able to skip the obnoxious training wheels altogether.

My short 2 year old loves it but she has to go slowly because she can barely reach the floor. In a few months she should be fine and I'm guessing by this summer she'll be sailing on it. GREAT FUN. Unfortunately the price is very hard to swallow. I found one on sale through a...

Built to Last
This is an awesome bike. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. The quality is visible compared to other wooden balancing bikes. You will not see any reviews about the wood warping, or laminate splitting, or screws coming off, or forks breaking, or wheels misaligned, or broken tires.

One bike shop told us that the knockoffs will last one child, whereas the LikeABike will last several children (they did not carry the LikeABike by the way because of the high cost and low demand, so I found their review of the knockoff they had in stock quite honest.) Granted, we could have bought 3 knockoffs with the price of 1 LikeABike, but I didn't want the aggravation of things breaking and falling apart and add to the waste with the "disposable" bikes. We went searching high and low for the LikeaBike only to find that our small neighborhood Mom & Pop bike store carries it. My family members all chipped in and bought it for our son for Christmas.

On the more technical...
excellent for toddlers - not a Draisienne!
A. This is not a Draisienne. Any child over 2 1/2 will be able to propel themselves and be "riding" and balancing.

B. The quality is very high. My preschooler has ridden his in all conditions and nothing has ever come loose or chipped.

C. It's all-wood construction is gorgeous. Everyone will comment.

D. Make sure you install the rubber handlebar grips. They are hard to get on. Coat the handlebars with dish soap to slide them on.

Ghost bike.
There are no reviews on this bike anywhere in all the land except for sellers, who of course think it's awesome. I actually bought this bike based on the color purple, so perhaps that's my fault. But I do need it to be a solid, well-made bike, so here's hoping!

I've ridden my bike several times now and love it so far. Im 5'5" and it fits me great. We did take it to a bike shop so they could make all the proper adjustments to it once it was put together and I highly recommend you do this with any bike. There are things the pros know to do that make your bike safe and even to ride. Im still learning the gears but have had no issues so far. My last bike threw me off a hill while I was learning gears. With that memory I haven't gone on any hills yet and won't until Im pretty confident that I can stop it no matter what...

So far...so...
After extensive research on the right balance bike for my 18 month old, I went with a red ST-3 Strider. While I didnt want to pay this kind of money, the expectation is she uses it for 3 years or so and when she is done with it she'll hop on a big-kid bike and ride away. My son, who is older can ride a bike fine now but he is still hesitent and that's because he started on training wheels and the transition is scarier.

I first Spotted these balance bikes at a car show and was amazed at the kids ability to ride around on it so I started my research and was hooked on the idea.

Primary reasons for choosing a Strider over the other manufacturers was that it's seat can go as low as 11", it has a steel frame, and the new ST-3 has the small grips. Given that this was being given to an 18 month old, the smaller the better. Reviews on various sites also helped seal the deal over the wooden bikes and some of thec omposites. I would've considered a kinderbike but...

My boys love their new bikes!

Perfect bike for toddler
We just bought this for our 3yo son after waiting for the Kinderbike Morph, but that hybrid is backordered and my son is longing for a new bike (his bday was last Nov and we kept putting off a purchase, thinking the Morph would be more ideal). Well, we love the Strider - it is so lightweight - over 2lbs lighter than the Kinderbike and it matters to a young rider. We just got the XL post seat too since our son is taller. The new 2012 model allows the user (ahem parent) to adjust both the handlebar and seat height which is great for adjustments on the 'go.' Thanks Strider and as always THANK YOU AMAZON!!!

Columba 26" folding bike SP26S
I was shopping around for a folding bike since I drive a sports compact car -- Mounting a rack was completely out of the question. One of my criterias was to get a 26" folder, not a 20" or a 16"... those just look awkward. After numerous days of searching and following tens of hundred of links to various "review" sites, everthing pointed back to this Columba 26" folding bike.

At first I couldn't decide if I wanted the RJ26 model (with suspension), or this SP26 model (without suspension). I went to a local bike shop and hopped onto a few MT bikes with suspension and i disliked it alot. It sank, and ate up pedal power because the bike slightly bounces with each step. Since my goal was to bike casually around the city, I quickly settled on a SILVER SP26S.

When I purchased this, it was priced at $185... which was a STEAL. I was hesistant thinking why would this bike be so "inexpensive". Along the same line of thinking, I thought this bike would be of terrible...

Great for students
I bought this so I could get around faster on my campus. Since I'm also a commuter and full-time worker, I didn't want to have to mess with a bike rack so a folding bike seems like the best choice. I ended up going with this bike because
1 - it's cheap (please note that the -----price varies on the bike color-----. Black was the cheapest at the time of my purchase)
2 - it's light
3 - it fit inside my car
4 - had the larger tires so let peddling for me
So I bought it for myself, back in March of 2012 (it's now Oct)
I love the bike BUT there are some draw backs
1-I have a ford focus. In order to fit the bike in my car I have to take the handle bars off each time - it gets tedious
2-the paint doesn't hold up well to wear and tear - I ended up having to lay it on its side at one point, scrapped the paint to crap
3-the bell it comes with died on my first wipe out =[ sad day
4-for those of us who are used to normal size bikes, riding it...
better than I hoped for
folded, fits nicely into a 4 door civic trunk. Unfolded, rides nice, In fact, this is the easiest shifting multi- speed bike i have ever used. Simple twist knob on inner handles. I kept left(front) gear on smallest spindle and used gears 2-6 on 2.5 miles ride around lake.

Great choice for a VALUE bike!
The bike is a great value. Made of 6061 Aluminum, it is both stronger and lighter than bikes made 10 or 15 years ago. The shifting group on the bike is entry level but more than sufficient for this level of bike. The brakes are wonderful, and the tires, although heavy, are quite acceptable. The front shock is pretty much crap but shouldn't cause you trouble (i.e. it is unlikely to break), only extra effort. Overall, though, it is hard to find as much bike as this at this price level. The big brand names cannot touch this bike at this price.

So, should you buy it?

To answer this question, you have to ask yourself, "What do I want out of riding?" There are many valid answers to this question, so think about it. Are you planning on riding the local gravel trail in town? Are you planning on short trips around with the kids? Would you prefer to ride actually two-track trails with roots, stumps, rocks and sand? Or are you looking to do distance riding with...

value ride
The Diamondback Response Sport is a very good value in a hardtail mountain bike as you are getting a relatively high end frame design with mid range components. The modified top tube design is a strengthen design borrowed from higher end Diamondback models and similar to some Specialized bikes.

The only catch is that the shift levers and front caliper are not up to the same quality as the rest of the package. The platform pedals are OK for around town and park trails, but you may want to upgrade them for serious single track riding.

I combined this with a top quality suspension seatpost which I find to be the optimum combination of lighter weight and control with some softening of the roughest bumps. The Diamondback site and some retailers have a more complete description of which frame size is most appropriate for your height. The advantage of buying from Amazon is that you can readily get XS, S or XL frame sizes rather than having to settle for Medium or...
Good Solid Bike!
I just got my D-Back Response Sport 2 days ago. Package arrived 3 days from order using the free shipping, Way to go Amazon!.
Bike was well packaged and was easy to assemble, however the Hayes brake instructions could have been better. Still not that hard to figure out. Only complaint is that the bike came with a Shimano Tourney front derailer and not the listed derailer. It works fine and shifts well so I'm not really dissatisfied. It also came with metal D-back pedals and not the resin pedals some people have replied on before. I'm 270 lbs. and wanted a strong bike, this appears to be just that. Time will tell and I will post follow ups as time goes by.
Seat was a little on the hard side for my big bottom side so i replaced it with a Sunlite Cloud 9 seat that has been a big improvement.

*Note* I got the 18" frame and it is perfect for my 5'10" size.

Missing parts
I ordered this bike for my daugther as a Christmas present. Was concerned about the 'assembly required' but was ensured it would not be difficult (pedals, front tire, seat and handlebars).

The shipment did not come with the pedals or the nuts and bolts to attach the front wheel. Luckily we live in KC so it was too cold for a Christmas bike ride. I tried calling Schwinn today, but there offices are closed due to adverse weather. So I'll try back later.

The other issue I had was that the front brake assembly is messed up now as I was trying to get the front tire attached. A part of the brake assembly came loose and I haven't figured out how to adjust. The instruction manual has poor directions and it's difficult to see in the photos what adjustments to make.

So at this point, I can't tell if the bike is a quality product or not. Will try to do a follow up once the missing parts are sent out. For now, I'm giving this a 2 star rating.

Works great with iPhone 5 and DigiFit app
I have been using the Digifit iPhone app for several months now and the first speed/cadence sensor I got for my bike was the Garmin GSC 10 Speed/Cadence Bike Sensor. that worked great except the magnets on the crank arm/pedal were troublesome. I did, however get some strong ("rare earth") little magnets and stuck those on the end of my pedal and that worked like a charm. The thing about the Garmin GSC10 is that it uses the ANT+ technology. It worked okay with my iPhone 3GS, but the battery life on that old phone didn't always last through my 2+ hour rides. So, I upgraded to the iPhone 5 and now I'm able to take advantage of the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE or Bluetooth 4.0) technology.

I got this Wahoo speed and cadence sensor that uses the BLE technology to connect to my iPhone 5 and send the data to the DigiFit app that I use. The device attaches just fine to my road bike. I was able to connect it...

Great sensor
I've been using ANT+ sensors for a long time. I recently started using my iPhone as my bike computer since I have to carry it anyway. I had been using the Wahoo Fitness bike case for my iPhone 4. The case has and ANT+ receiver that is powered by the iPhone. Battery life was not good. Fast forward to the upgrade to my iPhone 5 with Bluetooth 4.0 (same as the 4S but not the 4). I could ditch the big bulky battery hogging case and just use the native Bluetooth that was already running all the time on my phone. Big change in battery performance (in a good way). Also seemed to be more responsive of a sensor than the ANT+ version. Very happy so far!

Installation was simple and virtually identical to the Garmin units. Pairing was easy with Cyclemeter (iPhone app) and the whole thing works flawlessly.

Missing parts
When the box arrived it was ripped open and many parts were missing so we returned it for a replacement. The replacement arrived in much better packaging and almost everything was included. Unfortunately one part was from a different bike and wouldn't fit. It was a decorative item so not essential but still disappointing and I imagine it will be hard to arrange to get the correct part sent.

The bike itself is fine but next time I will go to a store rather than order online.

A dream come true
I went again every guideline when purchasing this bike. My son is three and this suits him perfectly donot buy for your three years old if they are extremely short and not too strong. (Buy a 14" if you can find that is ) This particular model is extremely well built and will last your child way into the 6-7 age range. The assembly was extremely easy (read the manual if you want to be confused) . Ther is however one draw back the bike is extremely heavy, so lifting will have to be done by an adult .
Came with missing parts to attach wheels, Returned bike sold as new
Bought this as a Xmas gift for grandson who loves dinosaurs. Ad stated that we were buying a new bike. The bike came in package that was water damaged and crushed and had been opened and re-taped. The ad stated that the bike was new however the packaging did make us question that it was really new. It obviously was a return item sold as new. Opened the box and it appeared to be okay till we started to assemble the bike. All the wheel washers and axel nuts were missing. Called Pacific Bikes and they sent the wrong pieces twice. How hard can it be to send the correct assembly pieces for the wheels. Apparently very! It is now 2 days till Xmas and the child has a bike with no wheels. Have gone to every hardware store and there is nothing that will work, also went to bike repair stores no luck. A simple little bike has become the nightmare before Christmas and one little boy is going to be terribly disappointed. Disappointed that Amazon sold a returned bike as new with missing...

Great bars!
I've been riding a set of these for 2 seasons now on my freeride bike. I was initially on the fence about bars this wide but figured I could always trim them. No need for me, the control and feel of the bars is outstanding. I ride in the PacNW so yes there are trees and brush but no the bars are never a real issue.

Outside of the width discussion these bars are strong, reasonably light and look great! For the price you're not gonna do better, a true 5 star product!

Very pleased with the handlebars. I trimmed them down a few notches to give them a better feel. I was searching for red handlebars, found the Race Face Atlas's and have been very pleased. Race Face makes quality parts.
wrong rise
I placed the order for a rise of 0.5 and got the 1.25 :( other than that i' am verry happy with the product arrived super fast and it has excellent quality as i expected!

OK Quality For The Price
I did an alarmingly large amount of research before settling on this bicycle. It's rather amusing when you realize I am the first person to review this bicycle. What swayed me? What sways anyone? The price, that's what.

Well, that and every other bike sold on here seems to have half its reviews complain about all the problems people had with it, while the other half talk about how they put it together and took right off on it. To put it bluntly: Buying a bicycle . . . ANY bicycle . . . online is a complete and total crapshoot. The difference with this one is that it was a CHEAP crapshoot. I'm glad I went with it.

I have had Huffy bikes in the past. I like them because they don't try to be something they aren't. They're cheap bikes that get the job done. This one is no different. If anything, it's the best Huffy I've had yet.

This bike's kind of the best of both worlds. It's not a full-on mountain bike, nor a one-speed cruiser. You get a little of both,...

Good Bike
I originally purchased this bike because of the price and it had good reviews for bikes under $150. The first bike I received had some damages which Amazon happily took back and sent me another one overnight. The assembly is really easy as most of the bike is already put together. Con: I did have to fix the unbalanced tires on the second bike by adjusting the spokes which took about 30 minutes. If you are a little mechanically inclined this is a good bike to have. I ride this bike everyday for about 1-2 hours and have no major complaints about buying it. Overall this is a good bike for the price.
Huffy Bike
Happy with the bike, the only thing I was not happy with was that when it arrived and I opened it, it had a few scratches here and there, which is not a good thing, given it was a new bike.

Great bike for the price.
You cannot beat this bicycle for the price. It is actually fabricated in the same overseas factories that Giant builds their frames. It also is the same as the entry-level Chinese-imported Trek frame.

As for Mrs. Roberts and her problems......hate to say it, but each and every problem/symptom you described is a symptom/problem indicating a poor assembly and adjustment. You should have taken the bike(s) to a professional bicycle shop and had the mechanic there do a tune-up on your bike....all those problems would and could have been avoided completely. Chain shifting problems, chain-drop and jamming, wheel loose....all adjustment and assembley problems.

Why do I say this? I was a bike mechanic for approx. 7 years and saw many, many bicycles bought from mass-market merchandisers and over the internet with the same exact problems after the poor or unskilled assembly. Even the bikes the "real" bike shops get have to be assembled and adjusted before they are...

Great Bike
I searched for my wife a bike and everywhere I went, the price was way more than what I wanted to pay. I wanted a bike that was well constructed, lite, and has high rated parts on it. I found this bike and I compared the price with a comparable bike at a bike shop and it was nearly $100 cheaper, plus free shipping. After we received the bike, we were very satisfied of the product except for the seat, but you can purchase a nice gel seat for around $15. Great deal!
Bike is nice though did need some adjustments
I really like this bike...it is a great little starter 'road' bike. It can take some rougher terrain, but I wouldn't take it off roading constantly. I don't think it's built to tolerate a whole lot of that. After assembling the bike we did take it to our local bike shop and spent $10 on getting it adjusted just right...the gears weren't shifting right from lower 4th and 5th. They were getting hung up a little, but the shop fixed that right up. Seems something was bent a little. I also had the brakes adjusted as they were riding the rims of the wheels and they definitely weren't supposed to be that close! Nice bike for the price though and free shipping! Can't beat it!
