Love it.
I used Shimano for years and I will never go back. Infant I am changing all of my.bikes to SRAM. High precision shifting even after long rides in sandy conditions. The main pivot arm is really durable and the cage arm is carbon to reduce weight. Great product!!

Bad experience made good by Amazon
I purchased 2 of these bikes for my wife and I based on the price. I found "you get what you pay for". The first two arrived in good condition, after assembly my wife's bike wouldn't change gears and the twist grips became stripped and fell apart. The front brakes were difficult to get into and stay in adjustment. We returned it for replacement. In the meantime (about 2 days) my shifters went out of adjustment and wouldn't change gears, the twist gear changer for the front derailleur stopped working. I returned the second bike. By now my wife's second bike arrived, the box looked like it had been dropped from a tall building then dragged behind the delivery truck. The box was literally held together with shipping tape, and it was torn open to expose that the bikes neck was bent(I can't imagine the force needed to cause this steel to bend). If I had gotten to the door before UPS rang my bell and ran away I never would have accepted this package. I returned this bike also. Finally we...

Good Bike For The Price
I bought this bike for fitness purposes. I have had some previous experience tinkering with bikes I have had before. This bike came partially assembled as the major components were put together. I had to put the front wheel, handlebar, pedals, and seat on the main frame. The bike, after assembled, needed some adjustments to the brakes and gears. I fully expected this to be the case. The bike rides very nice and is very comfortable. I mention the need for adjustment because all bikes require this when assembled. When you buy a bike already assembled, those adjustments are already done. Unfortunately, the directions are not that clear on making those adjustments. Also, the packaging is not adequate for shipping. The box was heavily damaged but the was okay.
Bike
When we got this bike on our porch it looked like UPS literally dragged it behind his truck all the way here. The box was really banged up.
The bike itself looked really nice and strudy, although we never got to try it out. The back rim was bent so bad it would hardly roll and we were missing some parts which Huffy sent us before we noticed the back rim issue.
We ended up sending it back, but would definately have kept it if it were not for the rim and waiting for another bike to come to us in exchange.
I think for the price it is a good deal, if it comes to you all in one piece.

The Best
My 7 yr old was in a bike wreck which his face was scraped up. So went online line to look for full face helmet. Heard about this company from local bike shop. Order via amazon due to great price. I cant tell you how much my son likes this helmet light weight and cool design style. I feel so relaxed riding with him now, knowing if he was to wreck again that is face is well protected. Parents due your kids a favor and don't take the easy road when it comes to bike safety other helmets dont protect very much.

Exactly what I wanted.
This helmet does exactly like any review says. It protects your head completely.

It was a little snug on my head at first but once I wore it a couple times it loosened just a little. It breathes realistically well for a full face helmet.

Some things I didn't expect:

It is much lighter then I would have expected, which is great. No reason for the carbon one honestly.

Also, I live in an area with lots of bug life. And you know when you hear that buzzzZzz right next to your ear and it scares the crap out of you cause you think its a bee. Well its even worse when riding a difficult trail, but thankfully this thing blocks your ears from that, another great thing I never expected.

NIce Brain Bucket
I am ordering my second one of these as I just took a major header and cracked the shell. The helmet did what it was designed to do and took the impact.

This helmet is very light and comfortable with good ventilation. My only problem with it was the center visor screw. It stripped out easily as it was just plastic. I replaced it with a metal one and was able to get it tightened down properly.

Giro has excellent customer service as well. I broke the visor after knocking the helmet off my handlebars and Giro shipped me a new one free of charge.

Nice!
These are great for winter MTB'ing in mild climates like Western WA. Just enough extra leg to keep you from getting too cold and not a full pant so you don't overheat. They seem really well built and the flexible crotch and sides really work well. The material seems to be water/rain resistant too which was great! Normally I come home soaked when riding in the rain. With these, other than sweat, I stay pretty dry.

On the downside for some:

I'm not sure what they were talking about in the item description when they stated that "A double layer seat cushions your tushie when you feel like riding the wussy way."

The backside is double thick, but given the previous statement and the fact that it's listed 3 times in the features section of the description, I expected there to be some sort of removable chamois. Mine did not have a chamois, built in or removable. So if you like having that extra cushion, a liner is your best friend.

Great Buy!
Ill start off by saying if your just looking for a commute bike you might as well make it a comfortable ride, right? Well this has it, I was looking for something to get back and forth to work with. This in mind i live where there is a lot of curbs and bad roads etc. so I wanted something that had some suspension. 217 bucks plus i bought the Kryptonite 2 lock (35$) i say you cant beat it. It came the day it said it would, box in perfect condition and only need to adjust cables and attach front wheel, just a smidge of an adjustment to the derauiler and everything was just they way it was intended to be. oh and make sure you clean front disc brake BEFORE the first ride to insure it brakes-in the correct way. hope i help any furture buyers out there.

Great Product, excellent delivery
Looked at a lot of bikes on Amazon before making the decision to buy the Mongoose. Excellent quality mountain bike for the cost. I had it shipped though a second hand company to get to me in Afghanistan (im a deployed soldier), and I ride it daily around the FOB. Was easy to assemble out of the box, and brakes and derailures came pre set and I had no trouble jumping right on and heading down the road! Only issue, the seat is hard and uncomfortable, so a gel seat should be aquired to save your butt.
Just out of the box, and I like!
This Mongoose is pretty not bad right out of the box. I have ridden a few Mongoose bikes prior, and have always like their ergonomics. This one is no different. The paddle shifters are short throw and precise out of the box. The derailer on the main rubs a little when in second, but its a quarter twist of a screw later and its perfect.

Pros:
Out of the box, bike is very well setup- needing only a few minor adjustments for your preference, and size.
Came double boxed from Amazon, both boxes arrived very well even with overnight shipping.
Stock seat is almost usable.
Nice fat tires, with nice irregularly spaced and designed tread.
Zoom front susp. is very responsive. Action is very quick and no clunks from the front!
Rear swing susp. is responsive, quiet, and solid.
WONDERFUL brakes.
15 minutes from arrival to riding.

Cons:
Reflectors on rims look out of place (terrible color, design)
Stock seat is almost...

A Decent Bike for the Price
I bought this as a Christmas gift. If you're at all handy and have a couple of wrenches (including Allen), assembling it is easy. Seems to be well designed and well made. I was skeptical about ordering a bike and having it shipped, but it arrived in perfect shape thanks to Amazon and UPS. Not a tear in the box or scratch on the bike.

Back to assembly, the frame, rear wheel, chain, and shifters are done out of the box. The handlebar must be installed, which is especially easy since the shifters are already on and (very) well adjusted with no tweaking required. Besides that, install the front wheel, hook up the brake cables and adjust, install the seat and pedals--and you're good to go.

Frame and welds are very well done. The included Shimano components are pretty good, though of course not top of the line at this price.

So far so good,right? Here are the downsides. While Diamonback did well sourcing the Shimano components, others are mediocre, such as...

A great purchase
I needed a bike that would get me around campus and on different terrain. This bike is incredibly smooth, quick breaks, and easy gear changes. The only problem I had was that after a rainfall, the breaks started squeaking, which was easily solved with some grease. I would definitely recommend this product though as there are many more pros than cons to the bike!

A sound investment!
At last I have come through the gauntlet of mountain bike buying, much scarred, but also much wiser!
I will try to briefly explain why I consider the Schwinn Rocket is a victory for me, and hopefully save other people much grief in choosing a "good" bike.
My experience in mountain bikes goes back to the early days of mountain bikes, but is based more realistically in the biking needs of four growing boys, and their middle aged parents. Like most I have largely purchased off-the-shelf box store bikes. Like most I have had more negative than positive experiences. I attempted over the years to upgrade to better bikes from the box store, but with little real world improvement. I have used bikes on the higher end, but cannot hope to buy such bikes for six people. What I wanted was a bike that would cost no more than twice what the box store offered. Decent bike, but a defect and Terrible Customer Support
The good:
* This bike arrived undamaged, without missing parts, and with all sub-assemblies assembled properly. Final assembly was easy, and the gold swing-arm looked much better than the gray swing-arm in the photo. The suspension feels very nice, and the soft-tail makes a huge smoothness difference when riding. The shifters work well. I bought the "Large" size". I am 6' 6", and I needed a longer seat post, and a Delta Stem Rise to raise the handlebars (up three inches).

* A neighbor of mine who is more into bikes than I took this bike for a spin last night, and really liked it. He thought the handling was very good.

* I think this bike is reasonable value, and functions very well.

The bad:
* The right pivot bushing has excessive play. For those of you who may not know, these bushings act as hinges between moving frame sections near the rear axle. The back wheel wobbles slightly under side-load as a result. Upon removing the...
So far, so good
Finding a good quality mountain bike that won't cost an arm & a leg is a difficult task. I didn't know a lot about mountain bikes but wanted to replace my boyfriend's bike for Christmas. He'd had a Giant Iguana bike which he'd gotten for only $35 at a garage sale 10 years ago. The only thing he insisted on having was thumbshifter gears, not gripshifters because the bike would switch gears whenever he'd stand up to ride uphill. No doubt, Giant bikes are awesome, but new they were $1000 and up. This Schwinn bike seems to have all the specs he wanted/ needed: sturdy frame, thumbshifter gears, Shimano parts, 20" frame (large), 26" wheels, decent quality tires, a "guy friendly" seat, and easy assembly. Since Schwinn has been bought by Pacific Cycle, it's hard to say if this is a true Schwinn bike or one made by PC with the Schwinn label slapped on.
