Brooks Saddles Leather Grips are made of natural leather, the same long wearing leather used for our saddle tops. Each grip is made with a stack of leather washers cut from the scrap of our saddle tops. These washers are held together by 3 spokes, enabling the grip to be adjusted to the desired length. The standard length of each grip is 130 mm, but each grip can be shortened to the desired length independently. The grips are delivered in a box containing shorter 80 mm spokes to make them even shorter.

Nice, but...
Nice handles, but there are tiny little set screws that you have to tighten to get them to grip onto your bars. I had to turn them so tight to get them solid, that I stripped the set screws. I contacted Brooks and they wouldn't send me new screws. If I ever have to change them or tighten them, I'm 'screwed.'

super styley!
These grips are way grippier than i expected - a pleasant surprise. First and foremost i got them because they look flippin sweet. I was surprised at how bulky they are in my hand - but as I ride All Mountain it is suiting and I'm accustomed to it. Someone who is used to or expecing skinny grips may find these awkward. I don't, I'm stoked on them :)

The only downside I've found, as mentioned in other reviews here, is that the lock screws on the end cap rings are very weak! I stripped them out by gently trying to tighten them down. Not sure whats up with that.

I have only been out riding twice on them so far, so I haen't yet had a chance to really break them in, but so far I'm loving them!
Great Grips!
These are great grips, they look good and are very comfortable. I bought them for my commuter bike to match my Brooks Saddle. The only problem I have is that they seem to move a little. I may need to adjust them a little tighter, but the movement (just a milimeter or two) seems to come from the spokes (they use spokes to connect the fastners) and the metal fastners don't move at all, so it doesn't affect handling.

comfortable and sturdy
I used these grips for a flat bar conversion on a touring bike. I was really worried that the plastic bar-ends were going to feel flimsy. But I've been using them a week now and I'm pleasantly surprised. The bar ends fit my hand very nicely and don't feel flimsy at all. Inside the end cap, they wrap around the handlebar with all metal hardware (molded inside the plastic). I don't think I would use these for hard mountain biking or downhill, but for a touring bike, they're perfect.

Feeling's back in my hands
I got this grip to improve my ride posture and to help relieve the ulnar and median nerve entrapment that always became a nagging problem on the longer rides.
The adjustable design provides countless grip positions-the horizontal grip can be adjusted about the axis of the handlebar while the bar extensions can be adjusted from about 20 degrees from the vertical to almost horizontal. Now, while cruising to work, I can maintain a more upright posture. My back and neck are very thankful.
You'll find out how remarkable the base grip is after you compare it to your old one. Its odd, ergonomic shape creates less extension at the wrists, relieving pressure on your nerves, so that you don't feel like you have carpal tunnel syndrome. If you feel like your fingers get numb during long rides, these grips are for you.
It is very easy to install. All you need as an appropriately sized hex key. Be careful though. If you have a gripshift bike like I have, there is a different, shorter...
Handlebar Grip
I purchased a new bike summer of 2012 and the handlebars were uncomfortable. The Ergon GP5 meets my needs and are very comfortable when riding several miles in a day. Delivery from Amazon was faster than expected. I was a little disappointed in the price, but am very satisfied with the product.
