Small, lightweight with a huge punch!
I was a bit skeptical when I saw the size of the SG-2200. The first time I used it was right before the nighttime laps of my last 12 Hour Mtb race. With very little effort, and very quick set-up (which is key in the pits of a 12hr race), it was all set up and ready to go. I was blown away by how much terrain the dual bulbs covered. They lit up every nook and cranny of technical terrain, making my night riding just as fast and fun as daytime riding.

I like the different setting options. I find the button easy to get to, and the settings are great to play around with, depending on what kind of riding I'm doing (dusk, full-moon, pitch black, road, technical, etc. there was a setting for all conditions, basically).

The durability of the SG-2200 was quite impressive as well. I've put it thru all sorts of conditions ( bad weather, high wind, 2 crashes, the accidental bumps into the occasional rider that sometimes come with the territory of racing on singletrack,...

Amazingly bright, great value
I've had many different lights in the past and was always wanting something just a little brighter. At 2200 lumens this was the brightest one I could find and this light is definitely bright. When I first got the light I was surprised at how small it is and how something that small could be so powerful. Once I started using it the small size was wonderful, keeping a low profile look and being small enough not snag on stuff.

On the mountain bike trails the high setting lights up everything near and far. The light also stays in place even on the roughest terrain. I find the 2-bulb setup gives great side to side coverage while also giving great distance coverage too. I also like the 2-bulb setup when on the trail with thought that if I crash and break one I still can ride out on the other one.

On the road I usually run the light on a lower setting and I love the one touch strobe feature. When approaching an intersection or if I see a car about to pull out in front...

The best and brightest AA headlight available.
I compared this to last year's brightest Planet Bike LED light, and to my old NiteRider 12w halogen. It was much, much brighter than the other LED and comparable to the halogen, but with a whiter (less yellow) hue. It is so bright I plan to use it for mellow trail night-riding (uphill and flats) and combine it with the halogen for downhill stretches. I also will use it for daily commuting.
The battery life is excellent considering the brightness. A couple sets of rechargeable AA's should be all you need for daily use, even in steady (not blinky) mode. It is light weight and mounts nicely to handlebars w/o cords or battery packs. Regarding the previous comment on the handlebar clamp, I experienced the same thing but figured out I didn't have it adjusted properly. Actually the clamp is excellent, widely adjustable, and requires no rubber shims to fit any bar. The cam problem came about because it was screwed too far into the pivot. Excellent Combo Bicycle Light Set riding thru the city,
Pretty good Headlight, beam seems strong enough for slow riding thru the city. If used with a flasher Headlight it'll work more than adequate for paced commutes. The construction is a sturdy plastic.

The Headlight uses a cheap mounting bracket that isn't great. It doesn't fit very well on the handlebars so you'll end up using a cut up old tube or tape to help keep it snug. You should still be able to tilt it back and forth for use in high/low beam (level it down towards the street in front of you) and flash mode (level it up towards traffic). The "close" pin doesn't snap back to keep it in "closed" for some reason but my Headlight didn't fall off yet.

#1 beam seems to be "low" for some reason instead of high on my Headlight. #2 high beam is brighter. #3 beam is flash mode.

The Headlight is not heavy, very decent size, compact, detaches easily from quick release mounting bracket. The button on the Headlight is rubber so it doesn't respond very well when...
initially promising, ultimately unreliable
I was initially very pleased with the Blaze 1 Watt light. The flash mode especially is very bright and visible. I was so pleased I soon got a second one.

Alas, in real usage the light is seriously flawed and I would not recommend it.

The mounting is poorly designed. The locking cam can easily pop open if you hit a bump. I secured it with a zip tie to prevent it from opening. The cam must be tight, because the lights are not balanced and tend to tip down. The rails on the light are brittle and cracked off one one light. The light can easily pop off the mount (and if you don't have a backup light will be hard to find in the dark!). I secured the lights with rubber bands to keep them from popping off. Both lights rattled. Now only one rattles because the other popped off and I couldn't find the front part.

The other serious flaw is the lack of voltage regulation. The light is very bright with fresh batteries, but starts to dim long before the batteries...

My Cygolites Never Last
I have owned two Expilions and both have failed me; and the fundamental design flaws seem to be repeated. What is really disappointing is: both were fantastic lights at first, but neither made it past 18 months (first one failed after six months). The problems: poor mount, electrical system not built to last, silly instance on using their USB cable for charging.

Problem with first light that appears on all Expilions: cheap mount. They don't seem to have improved this at all; the light rattles around in the mount. My first light actually fell to the ground when the base of the mount failed (snapped). Well these things happen and other reviews noted the failure. The customer service at Cygolite was excellent and they quickly mailed me a new, better version of the Expilion, with a supposedly improved mount. And in all fairness the new mount didn't "fail" exactly.

The new light was better, stronger, faster. But the mount was still lame. I had to super glue it to stop...

Great light. Very bright !! Good build quality.
I use this light for commuting, which I've been doing for the last 10 years. There are no street lights on the first part of my ride and the Cygolite 700 on its highest setting (boost) does a great job of lighting up those pot holes, that used to catch me out.When I get into the city I switch over to flashing mode which extends the run time and gives me great visibility. The only small con I have is the way the settings are ordered.
When you swtich the light on it is not 700 Lumens, you have to switch up 2 more times, also to get to the flashing mode you have to switch it off, then hold the button down untill it comes on, wait 3-4 sec till it goes off,then release the botton This was a little tricky at first but now I've gotten used to it. So not a big deal. I like the way it attaches to the handlebars quick and easy. I would recommend this light for commuting.
So bright!
Having already purchased the Expillion 350, I decided to purchase a second light and give my wife my old one :)
The Expillion 700 is extremely bright and also has a great battery. I can easily get 2-3 weeks out of a full charge when used daily for 1 hour per day on low setting.

I cannot recommend this highly enough, great light with a low price to match.

Great light --UPDATED 10-28-2012

Unfortunately, two months later, I have to dock a star from this product. This bums me out but it seems people are reading my review and therefore I am compelled to report this followup. I'm docking a star because I have had both of my lights fall off for a total of three times while riding. My 350 hit hard enough to break half of the mounting rail/slot. Now, at first I chalked this up to my error (not snapping it into place) or perhaps my brake line was interfering with the dismount tab. BUT I recently spoke to a friend who bought a 350 on my recommendation and he says the same thing happened to him --coincidentally his fell off three times as well. We agreed that very bumpy asphalt roads (and one very hard brake in my case) were common to our experience and when you inspect the dismount tab, note how very little force is required to push it down for light removal. It's not unlikely that extreme bumps might have caused the release tab to shake just enough...
Bright, Secure, Great Multi-Mode, Compact and Good Value
The new Lumina 650 is very bright! it throws a well shaped cone of light, and the new handlebar mount design is very secure, stable and easily adjustable. This new design affixes securely to the handlebars and to the light unit with easy vertical adjustment and click stops for horizontal aiming. An integrated rubber shim also helps to snug up the mount to the handlebars.

The multi-mode switch design cycles through Low, Medium, and High, with each successive press of the illuminated Blue Button when the unit is on. A momentary hold shuts the unit off. Continuing to hold the button pressed (past the point the unit shuts off) activates Blink Mode. I never considered I would need nor use this feature. Nonetheless, it has become my most often used mode! The rapid (approx 5Hz) flashes are amazingly bright; easily seen hundreds of yards away even in bright daylight! Sweet spot between convenience, performance, cost!
I received one of these as a gift (even though I was planning on buying it for myself) and I'm really impressed.
I frequently commute by bicycle, and this is now my favorite, most capable light. The beam with constant flash is outstanding, as it provides both illumination and a motorist-attention getting strobe effect. This is much better than some of my older pure-blinking strobes, that would get me dizzy, with their flashing if I was in an otherwise unlit area.

Charging is easy, I just hook it up to my computer at work, or laptop at home, uses readily available mini-USB. Seems to hold its charge quite well, as I have gone a few days between charges, and have noticed no weakness in the light during my 30 minute rides.

Another nice feature is that the light remembers the last mode it was in, before it was turned off. When turned back on, it enters that previous mode. No repeated button pressing required.

A solid choice
I was mostly looking between this light, the cygolite 350, and the planet blaze 2-watt. This was clearly the right choice for me. I found little practical difference between the metro 300 and the 350, and that decision was left to price. There are three real differences between the metro 300 and the pb2w: the metro 300 is 15-20 bucks more, rechargeable, and puts out more light. The intensity of the lights seemed pretty comparable with the metro 300 throwing out a somewhat larger cone (though none of these lights puts out a particularly wide beam). The metro 300 also has a steady-pulse mode that I like using in the city at night: it illuminates at full power but quickly winks every ~1.5 seconds. This gives you illumination to see by with just enough life to be eye-catching.

The only real drawback I see is that the charger uses the somewhat old-fashioned mini-USB style of connector, making it incompatible with the seemingly dozens of micro-USB chargers I have lying...
wow this is bright
This light is way brighter than my Princeton EOS. I really like the mounting bracket. It's real easy to switchover to other bikes quickly and with no tools. Cycling through all the modes is pretty annoying. Light seems well made and made in the USA! I could really see the potholes tonight on my ride home.

Power full light weight bike light
I was looking for a rechargeable very bright but simple low weight bike light to get me home when the sun starts to go down. This is the first such light I found and it seems to meet my needs. I have not used it enough to judge battery life or reliability as yet. Also it seems hard to disconnect the light from the handle bar attachment-sticky. Perhaps it will loosen up with use.

Amazing Light!
I bike from Brooklyn to NY City on an almost daily basis. Riding in city traffic can be hazardous enough but riding without a decent headlight/taillight is asking for an accident with vehicles or (even worse!) pedestrians.

I had a pair of battery operated lights which were never bright enough to really light up the street in front of me, let alone let oncoming drivers/peds to see me. In addition, the battery didn't last very long.

I was riding one night and someone came up behind me as I rode over the Brooklyn Bridge. Before he even came close, I could see his light and it was bright enough to cast shadows in front of me. He told my about his Cygolite so I researched and settled for this one. I am VERY glad I did.

Great Light
I use this to mountain bike at night. It works great. Easy to install and remove (I take it off for day rides). It provides plenty of light, actually pretty amazing how bright it is. Stays on securely even with rough trails and small jumps. I love that it is rechargeable.

Just went for my first ride with my new cygolite Expilion 700, it was as good as my motorcycles low beam. I rode a 30 mile loop at twenty mph consisting of both road and bike trail and never lost sight of my path, in fact finished in the same time as I did when riding this same loop in the daylight. I used the 2in1 flash the entire distance and that is nowhere as bright as the high or boost settings on this light, but still not only saw the path but everything around me for the first time at night.The 2in1 flash mode is much better then my previous model cygolite milion 150, it provides a steady beam for riders safety and a flashing beam to get others attention all at the same time. This unit far outperforms any all in one light I have owned or even seen. I have already recommended it to my neighbor for his dirt bike that he often caught in the woods at night on, and will be recommending it to my hunting friends for their ATVs. As you can see I'm more then pleased with this purchase...

Can't even tell it's night!
Bought this light because I do a lot of early morning commuting to work. wanted something that would light up the unlit sketchy trails of my city. and HOLY COW! this puppy is BRIGHT. I honestly think its brighter then my cars headlights! It is very small, removable, and rechargeable. My only down side is the way it attaches. I had to put a rubber stripping under the mount to prevent it from sliding and loosing up while riding. But quick easy fix. Great little light, super bright!
This is an incredibly bright light
Awesome light! Lights up pitch black trails with plenty of visibility even for turns when mounted on handlebars. It also has a great handlebar attachment set up. Charging is a breeze and the blinking mode turns distant road signs into a flashing light show. I have seen drivers of cars in front of me look around to see what is causing the signs in front of them to flash.

Designed to cast a wide beam of light across the trail, the Pro 1800 uses CREE LED bulbs to create a bright beam that sustains battery life and reduces the amount of heat that the bulbs produce. The light has four solid settings -- high, medium, low, and walk, plus a flash mode. Depending on your setting, the light will last for 1.5 hours at 1800 lumens, three hours at 700 lumens, six hours at 400 lumens, and 25 hours at 80 lumens. If you have the light on your bars or helmet, adjusting the light setting during a climb is simple with the easily-accessible output button on top of the light. The eight-step fuel gauge on the light gives you an accurate reading of how much battery is left -- so you know when you need to hustle over to the service course for a battery swap. Since LED lights produce an incredible amount of heat, the Pro 1800 uses a Borofloat lens on the front of the light -- this isn't your average flashlight glass. Compared to the boilerplate tempered glass, NiteRider uses Borofloat, a form of borosilicate glass, that won't shatter when your hot light falls into a cold stream after a jump-gone-wrong.

Ride in the dark without fear
I bike commute early in the morning and I ride down country roads in the dark. This light is so bright that on coming cars sometimes blink their lights for me to dim mine.

NiteRider Pro 1800 Led
Great light! Bright enough for night time trail riding but dims enough for city commuting. Has more light output than 8000K HID Lights and about the same color.

Comes with a very sturdy handle bar mount that fits even the thickest mountain bike bars! Also includes the helmet mount and extension cord.

The cooling fins inside the housing keeps the light cool and the battery status keeps you informed at all times.

Light is water resistant but not waterproof..

Wish it had the option to use disposable batteries when the battery pack runs out...
Wow!
I had a NiteRider SlickRock 900 and it was hard to believe there was anything better than that, but when bulb-replacement time arrived, I decided it was more economical to buy a new system, and chose the Pro 1800. On it's lowest setting, this Pro 1800 nearly matches the low-setting output of the SlickRock and is more than adequate for commuting, but on high, the Pro 1800 is just out of this world. Upgrades include a battery life indicator (very much appreciated), instant-on (the SlickRock had to warm up to full intensity), and a wider U-shaped beam that covers the entire road surface from shoulder to shoulder, but somehow manages to focus the highest intensity right in front of me. It can literally light up my yard, it's so bright. High-speed road descents are well within the scope of the Pro 1800. I've yet to take it off road. The whole system is incredibly lightweight. The wire connections are a little confusing at first, but they are solid & won't unintentionally separate...
