Good, inexpensive bike
I'm not sure about the previous post, but I am 6'0" and 210 lbs. and the bike fits me fine. I adjusted the seat and handle bars and it's the right size. The bike came patially assembled and the instructions were clear. It only took me an hour to assemble, but four hours to fine tune and re-tighten everything, including the steering head bearing and pedal bearing. The brakes and rear derailer took a long time to adjust properly, but in the end the bike rides nice. For the money the bike seems to be built tough and it looks good. Only time will tell how it will hold up, but so far I am happy with it.

Not bad at all
I am happy with the bike. It is much lighter than a Roadmaster we have. Instructions are not the best but common sense is really all you need. Took about 45 min to put together and another 2 hours to get brakes, seat, gears and handle bars adjusted. Go to youtube for that stuff and it's easy to figure out. Gears don't change the smoothest and I'm sure they are aligned pretty good but they still work properly. Front wheel is a little close to the pedals compared to other bikes so your feet will rub the tire when taking sharp corners (I just go to the balls of my feet when turning now so it won't rub much). It seems well built. The box inside with the parts and the main box were a complete disaster when ups dropped it off. Looked like 4 dobermans went at it for an hour on the truck. I was worried a rim would be bent and some parts would be missing, but all was good.
Tough, Rugged, Attractive, Sturdy, Steely, Competitor
The Raptor Mantis, Men's, 26-Inch, Mountain Bike, Red/Black,with its Steel Frame, is tough and rugged,yet competitively light and fast. I paid a meager $73.00 on mine not expecting anything near the quality design, materials and workmanship I discovered. I had never put a bike together before, and this required assembly which included simple instructions, and despite my genius IQ I succedded in easily assembling it with the included few necessary tools.The Current price is double what I paid, but its well worth it.

My wife was wanting a bike to be able to go on bike rides with our daughter and to take her to school in when the weather is nice. They have been on multiple rides now and my wife loves this bike!!! You cant find a better full suspension bike for this price!!!

Returned
Couldn't ever get the rear brake centered despite watching countless you tube videos of how to adjust the tension screws, the brake line, the bolts, etc, etc, etc. You would get it all aligned and then go ride and use it once and the brake would be stuck to the tire again. And when the brake is rubbing against the tire it makes the ride much like slogging through sand. Never could get the gears to switch right. Front tire was warped when received so I ended up just disconnecting the front brakes to see if I even liked the rest of the bike enough to keep it. My husband never lets me return anything and he took it for a spin around the block and said "call amazon and send it back." It's awful. We've had it less than 12 hours and it's back in the box waiting for return. Thank you Amazon for making the return painless.
Can't wait...
While I haven't actually ridden the bike yet (awful winter weather) I must say it is a thing of beauty. Sleek, shiny, and hardcore. The springs ( struts?) look like I could conquer a rough trail with little bouncing. I will get a less streamlined saddle though - I'm more about the comfort than speed. Easy to put together and shipping was super quick. I can't give it 4 stars until I actually ride it... Stay tuned.

Horrible Mantis bike (for women)
This bike was a monster to put together - the instructions were for another bike... added to which the fork of the bike was provided to us backwards which we had to pay a bomb to get corrected.
We spent more on servicing this bike in the first 4 days of receiving it than the cost of the bike.

Would not advise anyone to buy it - pain to put together, the seat hurts if you sit for more than 3 seconds and was not a good experience.

Money pit
I got my daughter this bike for Christmas. When we put it together we noticed that the gears didn't work properly, the spokes didn't seem right and the brakes didn't work well. We thought it probably just needed to be tuned up because of shipping and had to get the wheel true. Took it to a bike shop and they told us that the wheel was bent really bad and that the gears were is bad shape. This bike has turned out costing almost double what I originally paid. What a piece of JUNK!

nice ride
Bought this for my 14 year old overall it's a good bike. The seat was a little difficult to put on for some reason, not to mention the seat is a little hard on bumps but it works!

Nice Bike, Great Customer Service
This bike was bought for my 10 year old daughter. I put it together 4 days before Christmas and I had a hard time getting the seat to fit into the frame. The reason for the difficulty was because it had a metal spur inside the frame which I easily filed down but I damaged the post prior to filing it down. I emailed the manufacturer and asked for a replacement post. A customer service representative responded immediately notifying me that a replacement was " on its way". I received the new post two days later which I was really not expecting to get before Christmas. My daughter loves the bike, so far so good.

DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE. My DAUGHTER RECEIVED THIS FOR HER BIRTHDAY IN NOV.. DID NOT EVEN OPEN THE BOX TILL APRIL SHE ROAD IT 3 TIMES AND A PLASTIC PIECE BROKE OFF. CANNOT RETURN THE BIKE BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN TO LONG!! PLASTIC ON A KIDS BIKE REALLY??

Outstanding Bike
I bought this bike and the DiamondBack Octane. But the Hasa is a superior bike. They are about the same price, but the Hasa is a 18 speed and all of the components are better compared to the Octane. The DiamondBack Octante is only a 6 speed and the shifter is not as smooth as the Hasa, hence better components. My son who got the Octane now really wants the Hasa because it is better. The Hasa is also a lighter aluminum frame. If you buy this bike you will be very pleased.
Hasa Rocks! Hidden Gem of Bike!
After buying a bike from a local store and returning it due to quality issues I decided to check out Amazon. After seeing the Mongoose, Diamondback and Beck(..?) listed on Amazon and saying nay I continued my search to no avail. The problem was I only wanted to buy something where more than 1 person reviewed it. This bike only had one reviewer. I think it was the fact that the brand name is unknown here in the states. Let it now be known that Hasa is badaxx! This bike is the highest quality bike I have ever seen other than my own Giant Bikes. (and this is a kid's bike!) I would gladly spend $50 more for the best quality in the world than throw my money away with the "known bike brands". Seriously take the chance, you will NOT regret it.

I've shopped several websites looking for a comfort bike for my wife. When I went into the local bike shop, they wanted to sell me a $500 comfort bike and told me anything from a department store would be a mistake. I was looking for a simple, classic, looking comfort bike that wouldn't fall apart, and would be able to take the abuse of someone who only is an occasional bike rider.

My wife was very pleased with the bike. It allows her to pull our son in our trailer around the block a few times, and didn't cost me an arm and a leg. And according to her, it was a very comfortable ride.

For what it costs, this bike is fine
I bought this bike for my daughter in college. First off, it's an inexpensive bike, so you at not going to have premium lightweight components. If you want that, then go to your local bike shop. But if you want a light use or a beater, then this is perfect. The poor mechanical design review is due likely to the fork being installed backward, which is an easy mistake to make, but it causes the exact issue he described. I am a bike snob. I own 4 treks and a Scott full suspension mountain bike, and they are awesome and also cost 5-10x as much as this bike. So, just be clear about what you are buying here and you'll be happy.
Pedal broke after 1 day
The bike was fine until the pedal broke a day after my daughter started riding it. We are going to have to hunt down the pedal assembly to fix it.

Good bike for the price
Nice bike- mine took about a week and a half from the time I ordered it to arrive. Assembly is easy, but adjusting the brakes and shifters can take some time. Once adjusted, it works very well- it shifts smoothly, and rides fairly easily. My complaints are these:
1) Comes with cheesy pedals- I replaced them with these (9/16" threads): http://www.amazon.com/Diamondback-Sound-Pedal-Black-Alloy/dp/B001C3GJ22/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1284868963&sr=8-1
2) Brake levers are plastic, and the pivot point is a rivet, not a bolt. They feel a bit flimsy, but work fine.
3) The seat height is a bit low. I'm fairly average-sized (5'8"), and I have to raise the seat to the absolute maximum to be comfortabe.
4) The front wheel is ever so slightly warped- doesn't really affect anything, really.
Overall, a good bike for the price.

Dangerously cheap bike
I didn't have much money for the summer so I figured I'd buy this bike. What a poor decision. Both wheels are not at all true, so using it is already hard enough. The grips on the handlebars will also slide off halfway overnight, every night. And the worst thing is just this last week, when I was biking on the road to work, the right pedal just came clean off, stripped, and I nearly got run over by the passing cars. How does that even happen on a bike. I will never skimp on paying a more for a bike from now on. I have only had this bike for 2 weeks and it has not been treating me well at all.
would rather have spent a little more for a better bike.
ill admit that if you are low on funds, and just need any bike, then i guess you can consider this bike. but i wish i could go back and just spend 50 more on a better bike.

the main thing is that thing bike does not go very fast at all. on the smallest of downhills, my pedaling doesn't seem to do anything.

also, the shifters are placed on the handle bars, so while i am pedaling uphills, i sometimes change gears on accident unless if my hands are only halfway on the bars. its not like i have huge hands, so that aspect of the design was a real head scratcher for me.

Absolutely beautiful!
Of course, some adjustments should be made prior to riding this bike. My disk break does not break too well but overall a very great looking bike. Definitely recommended.

Dislikes: Just because it is some what per-assembled for you, but they actually assembled it wrong. The seat is quite horrible, it kind of hurts you after a while.

Likes: Looks! 29er madness, gear switching system is absolutely stunning,

For the price, it is a great bike. As a college student, this is the best deal to have - I do not recommend buying $100 ish bike from Walmart, had pretty bad experience with them.

Good bike for the money!
This bike is a good bargin for money, Love the way it turns heads at the bike trails when other guys are sporting mountain bikes the payed thouands for. This bike is not lightweight but waighs less than most chrep Wal Mart Mongoose. I like the size of the bike, I'am 5'11" 204 lbs. And this bike is perfect hight. While it is a named a mountain bike I would not take it on hard mountain trails. This Polaris does have a smooth ride and love the fromt break and Shimamo thunb shifters and flat balck paint job. This bike does have to be adjusted professionaly and it doesis go off tune after a crash so I suggest some break latex to keep your adjustment screws in place... the front break is adequate but i chanced my caliper to a Shimano. The seat is a bit rough, I suggest a slick gel Schwinn and save some money. Overall i like this bike and saved money over those light bikes costing thousands. I get a better leg work out with this bike! I give it a 4 rating because is draw back of adjustment...
I hate it but I need a bike since mine was taken.
This bicycle won't allow a lock to be fastened to it because of it's wide triangular shaped frame and the for get about adjusting the handlebars to fit your height because they are fixed in place and won't move. It's got one standard brake in back and a disc brake in the front that regularly squeaks rather annoyingly whenever I have to use it. Moreover, it was confusing and hard to put together. I finally had to take it to a bike shop and pay a guy to do it. Thisbike looks good on paper (or online) but it is truly crap in real life.

Great Bike!
The bike was easy to put together and the parts gave the feeling of good quality. It is incorrectly stated in the product info that the tires are 28 inches....they are in fact 29. The bike feels light for it's size. The handle bar is nice and big and has a cool tapered style. Nice grips. It sits high so no need for fooling around with a stem raiser. I'm 6 feet tall and 200 pounds.....finally feel like I have a bike that is the right size for me. Plenty of clearance between your feet and the front tire as you turn. The front shock is excellent and very smooth....the bike bounces over potholes nicely. I don't miss the rear shock. Love the lever shifters....the rear derailleur is heavy duty.....the gears feel much different than 26". I've been on 5 rides from about 5-10 miles....half city and half trails....where I used to cruise in 13th speed, I tend to do about 11th speed on this bike. I'm adjusting to using lower gears since gear for gear, it takes more torque with the 29" tires as...

Upon receipt of my new bike, I was excited. when i removed it from the box and assembled the wheel and handle bars, I noticed an extra piece in the box. The kickstand had been sheered off somewhere along the way. I contacted Amazon and we worked out so I could order a new kickstand and I have enjoyed my bike ever since. Thanks Amazon, another quality product.
Good deal
Rides like a bike, no problems. My son rides this on the street and the occasional trail. He hasn't really put it to the test, so I can't comment on strengths and weaknesses, but it seems to be a good value.
