Nice, but...
Nice handles, but there are tiny little set screws that you have to tighten to get them to grip onto your bars. I had to turn them so tight to get them solid, that I stripped the set screws. I contacted Brooks and they wouldn't send me new screws. If I ever have to change them or tighten them, I'm 'screwed.'

super styley!
These grips are way grippier than i expected - a pleasant surprise. First and foremost i got them because they look flippin sweet. I was surprised at how bulky they are in my hand - but as I ride All Mountain it is suiting and I'm accustomed to it. Someone who is used to or expecing skinny grips may find these awkward. I don't, I'm stoked on them :)

The only downside I've found, as mentioned in other reviews here, is that the lock screws on the end cap rings are very weak! I stripped them out by gently trying to tighten them down. Not sure whats up with that.

I have only been out riding twice on them so far, so I haen't yet had a chance to really break them in, but so far I'm loving them!
Great Grips!
These are great grips, they look good and are very comfortable. I bought them for my commuter bike to match my Brooks Saddle. The only problem I have is that they seem to move a little. I may need to adjust them a little tighter, but the movement (just a milimeter or two) seems to come from the spokes (they use spokes to connect the fastners) and the metal fastners don't move at all, so it doesn't affect handling.

I tried a lot of bike saddles, this one the most comfortable, glad I bought it
I had to work on the adjustments, ended up pointing the 'nose' of the seat down - and this helped. I went on a very long ride, like 40 miles and tried all of the seats I had (about 4) and this one is the clear winner. The others have pain and numbness, this one is the most comfortable. So far, this one works well. I can ride for 35-40 miles without a hassle.

Owned 2, Would buy another
I didn't even try to use the Selle saddle that came with my last road bike, even though it was highly rated. My Adamo saddle, properly dialed in ended so many issues: sore sitz bones, inner thigh pain, etc. It's the perfect width for my body. It's padded a little more than most saddles but not overly so. I ride 800-1000 miles a month and really never think about the saddle (legs are another story). SInce the Adamo is a little thicker than many saddles, I had to adjust my seat height accordingly.
Big improvement over original seat
I've put about 250 miles on this saddle since getting it. That includes one ride of over 50 miles and a bunch in the 15-20 mile range. It helps a lot with the pain and numbness caused by the compression of the perineum area. There's no pressure on that area at all. However, there is increased pressure on the "sit bones". That takes some getting used to.

This is a big improvement over the original saddle that came with my Trek FX 7.2. With that one, I had a lot of trouble with pain and numbness. The longer the ride, the worse the problem was. Those exact symptoms haven't happened at all with this saddle.

I had a problem with the saddle squeaking after a few miles. I contacted both the vendor (Gotta Ride Bikes) and the manufacturer (ISM Saddles). The vendor got back to me within a few hours and the manufacturer got back to me shortly after that. The manufacturer immediately sent me a replacement and I returned the squeaky one. The replacement is completely quiet. I...

Wife likes it
I used to have a hard time getting my wife to go riding with me, she always complained about saddle discomfort. This saddle fixed all that. It will only get better with time as the leather breaks in. This wider saddle is for upright riding positions. If you have a road bike or a bike with a more aggressive riding position, the Brooks Flyer or Flyer S is a better choice.

Another Brooks Sadddle
There are few constants in this world that you can rely on but Brooks Saddles are one. This is my third Brooks, going back 38 years,this time fitting on my wife's vintage Raliegh Sport which I reconditioned. It looks terrific, she says it feels great already, but hasn't been on any long rides yet. I tell her if it feels good now it will only get better.

Wonderful bike seat
Have tried other bike saddles and this Fizik Vesta Wing Flex is the best. It is harder than the Terry I had before but narrower in the area between my legs so fits much better. All the others were too wide. I ride on average 20 to 50 miles a week. Some weeks up to 100 miles so a comfortable seat is a must. I don't really feel the seat flexing on the sides like they show in their video but it works and that is what counts for me!

Brooks B17 Special Saddle -- excellent quality & comfort
I'm currently training for a brevet series and am starting to rack up the miles. I find that my B17 Special growning more comfortable with each passing day. It's narrow enough for fast spinning and supporative enough for long hauls. While the sweet spot in its tail section is wide and accomodating during tempos riding and climbs, you won't be able to shift your weight to its nose when the pace picks up, if that's your habbit. It just isn't designed for crit-style riding and its nose is just too narrow and unforgiving. For long-distance training, Century rides, trecking and touring, this saddle is wonderful!

My Favorite Saddle
I have been a serious cyclist for the past 14 years. I have tried a number of saddles and all have left me with a desire for more. I have been on a B-17 for the past three years and have been pleased with the fit and comfortable ride. Once you find the sweet spot for your sit bones, your butt becomes the least of your problems (as opposed to lungs and legs). My bike shop also provided me with Brooks bar ends which really helps make my bike look terrific. Long milage riders will appreciate Brooks. The only complaint I have is the rails are flared out which means my Topeak saddle bag doesn't attach easily. Small problem for so much comfort.
Beautiful Saddle
This is one beautiful saddle. Sure it is a bit hard at first, but after only four 30 minute rides it was already starting to fit great. The copper is also classy. I highly recommend this one.

Great saddle
I have been using this saddle for the last two or three weeks, riding 3 or 4 times per week. It took a couple of rides to adjust it correctly and get used to the saddle. Once it was adjusted correctly I didn't notice the saddle at all and have had no problems as I have increased the length and duration of my rides. It is firm enough to provide plenty of support for pedaling while seated and at the same time is very comfortable on long descents on rough trails. I have the similar, but less expensive, Pure V saddle on my other mountain bike and have been very happy with it also. I believe that the Pure V Pro will be more durable because of the higher end materials used but only time will tell. For now I am very satisfied with this saddle.

Typical WTB comfort
They say saddle comfort is very subjective, but I've never met a WTB saddle that wasn't comfortable. This one is no exception, and it strikes a good compromise between weight and comfort. There are cheaper WTB saddles out there that are just as comfortable, but they tend to weigh more.

Amazing Saddle!
I bought the apple green saddle and it is awesome. I'm a female so I wasn't sure this "standard" seat would be comfortable but it turned out to be one of the most comfortable seats I've ever owned. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the color wasn't quite what it looked like in the picture. It's just a bit lighter. But over all, I love my Brooks Saddle!

Stop contemplating and just do it!
First to note I have owned a B17 before and already knew the feel of a Brooks saddle (*was on a stolen bike; hence replacement*). If that is in question, no doubt this saddle is perfect for just about anything. I commute and tour on my previous B17 and literally stopped wearing cycling shorts with pads because there was no need for them anymore. Romp pain goes way down with a Brooks. But back to the GREEN BROOKS SADDLE, it gives it just enough style to turn heads but while riding its like a dark horse of awesome. Already after a week of city miles on the saddle, it she already feels like we've been together for years. Has already been through snowy city streets and downpours. Haven't babied it. Solid as a rock. I always hear about people scared to get brooks wet...wrong. just keep your leather moist as in lather up some leather conditioner (don't forgot the bottom) every couple months, even longer sometimes. since it is brand new, still fresh to death.

This is a beautiful saddle. The color in the provided image is a bit more lime green than the seat is in real life, though I don't agree with the other reviewer that it is "lighter". It was easy to install and was comfortable right off the bat. I'm excited to see what this feels like after it is broken in. Wish this came with the seat cover bag thinggy--as I've read some reviews on other colors of the B17 saddle and reviewers mentioned it came with it. That must be some sort of other kit, but this seat does not come with proofride or the cover.

The only reason I gave this four stars is the company that sells the seat. It took them a little over a week to mail it out to me, and only after I contacted them about it. It reached me within the time frame specified by Amazon but only because I live about 5 hours away from the shipping destination so it reached me the day after they shipped it. If I lived across the country it would have been much later. Also, I did not realize...

An Anotomically Correct Saddle!
Experienced numbness prior to purchasing this even though I tried several other saddles, even those with a cutout. After reading reviews on this, and testing it for myself, I have to ask: Why would cyclists ride anything else? Seriously. This saddle fits human anatomy perfectly, especially for males. It's very comfortable; it holds you up on only your two sit-bones, your perineum has zero weight on it, and male anatomy sits in front of the saddle...it's not even on the saddle at all! The PEAK is perfect for mountain biking due the to rolled back part of the saddle in the back, easy on and off for downhills/coming up out of the saddle and putting weight over the rear wheel. One thing to consider is you may want a set-back seat post with this, the rails keep it back pretty far. I will never buy any other saddle again! Absolutely worth the value.

no complaints
I switched from a WTB pure V to this. The WTB was very comfortable until I had to slide forward on the saddle for steep climbs. After about 10 min, my wiener would start going numb. With the ISM, this is not a problem at all. In fact, it allows me to move more forward than I usually would and get better balance and traction on climbs. At first, the ISM seemed hard and uncomfortable, but after a week, my sit bones became accustomed to the pressure. The sloping back of the saddle is very nice and allows for easy transitions off the back of the saddle and back. I've been riding it for two months and have no issues yet with durability. I don't land on the saddle very much, but I am 200lbs. I highly recommend this saddle.
Best Saddle Hands Down
Expensive but worth every penny! ISM has designed the perfect saddle. I own three of them and refuse to ride anything else!

Surprising
When I first took a look at this seat it surprised me how small it was compared to the Bontrager that came stock on my bike. It also felt considerably less padded. I bought the seat hoping it would be both more comfortable and lighter. When I felt how much less padding it had I was scared to put it on my bike. Having just spent $100 on it, I figured I'd at least give it a shot. I'm glad I did too; it's very comfortable compared to the stock seat. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because after just a couple rides some of the graphics have started to wear off already.

Good, but not for everyone, or every purpose.
The Classic Brooks B17 has a lot going for it. Mine is a Honey colored classic. It took me about 500 miles to break it in. I sped the process up with inundating in a substance I will not describe. I risked ruining the saddle, but the treatment seemed to set it in nicely. Be careful with advice to speed the break-in. You can ruin it. I'm a 165# male, FWIW.

The saddle for me, is very comfortable on the sit bones once it settles in. However, I recently changed my riding position, lowering my handlebar to a more aggressive stance, and I can no longer use it. I was recently 'fitted' by a professional to address other issues I was having on my bike.

Especially on the drops the Brooks caused problems. One one-hour ride and my 'taint, as they say, was screaming. It's a day after my ride and I still feel something a urologist could explain better than I. I've also had urological issues towards the ends of very long rides (60 miles and up) when your form and...

get this saddle and you will never look back
After being away for about 8 years, don't ask me why, I decided to get back into cycling again, and bought a Trek 520, mostly for commuting, but plan to do some longer trips later. The saddle that came with the bike was so hard I hurt for a week after using it a few days, and stopped riding it. I looked into other saddles, found Brooks, and decided on the aged since I didn't want to ride a marathon to break it in. I have just installed it and I have only ridden a dozen miles on this saddle so far, and decided to write this now. There is no break in period, it feels great right from the start. I had to actually make myself think about the saddle I was sitting on, it was so comfortable from the get-go, that I almost forgot about it, which was good, as it allowed me to enjoy my ride more. This is one great all leather saddle, and I know I am going to enjoy it for many years to come. If and when I get another bike, I will order a Brooks before I even ride it.

The saddle comes...
The all purpose B-17
I simply love my Brooks B-17s. Currently I have two and a third is on the way. I use them on my daily commuter bike, an old mountain bike converted a single speed town bike and my Bike Friday New World Tourist which has been to Mexico, the Bay Area, and most recently, Las Vegas. The one I've on order will grace the Rivendell Quickbeam being built even as I write.

Why the B-17?

Unfortunately the saddles supplied with most bikes are uncomfortable plastic shells with some padding thrown on them. The plastic shell has no give and the padding eventually bunches up and creases giving the saddle some very uncomfortable spots.

A leather saddle, the Brooks B-17, on the other hand will conform to the shape of the rider over time. And, because the leather is support in back and front, the saddle itself acts somewhat like a hammock to support the rider comfortably.

I've never needed to use specialized riding shorts on my Brooks, even for long 50+ mile...

The largest seat on rails
I think that line of copy from serfas sums this one up. First of all I've tried most if not everything anybody recommended on mtbr and after getting frustrated with various kinds of pain I decided to hell with it and went BIG. REALLY BIG. Now I ride for hours and hours with no pain. This saddle is not for most people but for a really big guy like me it's the only way. My personal geometry 6.0 ft , 325lbs , long torso , shorter legs. If your a big rider and still riding with pain it couldn't hurt to try going big.

Big Ol' Hangin' Bike Seat
This is the biggest bike seat known to man. I love to bike ride, however, I seem to always have issues with the comfort of my bike seat. I always feel like my backside is hanging over like pigs in a sack on those skinny bike seats and always end up with a very sore tailbone, so I thought I'd try to find the biggest bike seat I could find. Well, I found it in the Serfas Super Cruiser Bicycle Saddle. I have to say, I literally guffawed out loud when I opened the box...and no one was around to hear me. When my husband arrived home, the hysterical laughter continued. It is the most hilarious, ridiculously HUGEST bike seat I've ever seen in my life.

After I calmed down from my initial hysterics, I thought, "Ahhh, now that's a bike seat!" I was looking forward to my buns riding in comfort on a seat that's akin to the size of an elephant saddle. My husband put it on for me, which was rather comical in itself...
Super Bicycle Seat
This is the best seat I have ever used and I have tried many. It gives ample support as well as comfort and shock absorption. I weigh over 300 pounds and ride a tricycle. At the end of a ten mile cruise my bottom feels as if I could do it again, (Too bad my legs aren't ready to go yet.) This seat is large enough to allow front to back movement so you can exercise different areas of your muscle group. I highly recommend this seat.

Excellent seat
I had one for about 3 years until my bicycle was stolen :( This seat feels very well for someone who is acclimated to riding and 'hates' soft seats. The only negative about this seat is that if you take a spill its prone to getting cut up and maybe splitting a little. Glue and what not can help remedy this, but it seems less durable than those seats that are not as seemingly tensioned. Anyways this seat rocks and its quality is quite nice.

Best seat for me
I purchased this seat a few weeks ago and was worried that since it is the carbon version it might be too stiff. Now that I have ridden it on a couple of 3 + hour rides, I found out just the opposite. It is the most comfortable seat I have ever used. I ride a lot and have owned numerous seats - none are as good as this one. I have an older Devo (non-carbon), and it is OK but not as good as this one. Maybe the carbon has a little more flex than the plastic version. I just bought 2 more from Amazon.

Surprisingly comfortable seat. I thought it might take more than a few rides to break in, but I was wrong. This seat provides a firm yet comfy ride. Very nice.

Bought it as a backup
This is my third Arione and I bought it mainly as a backup for the other two I am using on my road bikes. The Arione fits me perfectly which is why I use them on my bikes. Be forewarned though that bike saddles are a personal thing just like bike shoes.

What I like about the Arione:
1. Flexibility. There is more room to move fore and aft because of its length. This also allows me to move back and dig in when doing long climbs or move a bit more forward when on high speed courses.
2. Features. All Fizik saddles have the ICS clip which allows me to transfer my Fizik ICS saddle bag from one bike to the other with ease.
3. Design. It comes in various colors which you can match to the colors of the your bike(s). The latest one I got was black with a red strip running down the middle... matches my red and black bike perfectly.
4. Durability. I have probably put in more than 5000 kms on my oldest Fizik and the only signs of wear are on the side edges of the...

Love this saddle
Been riding this brand and model saddle for years now and I can't say enough good things. Obviously, comfort is different for everyone but I have never ridden a more comfortable saddle. FWIW I'm 5'9" 180lbs, big legs and a short inseam. Hopefully this helps in deciding which saddle to get.
Great saddle
I had a early version of the Arione on my previous bike and had found it comfortable and very durable. The saddle never sagged nor did the rails break or de-bond from the saddle. The leather did not scuff off the sides of the nose as on most of my previous saddles.

My new bike came with an expensive saddle that was initially comfortable (Prologo Nack). After a little more than a year, it began to creak and shortly thereafter one rail's bond with the saddle broke.

I I purchased this newer model of the Arione and find the level top, shape and flex-characteristics far more comfortable.

Comfortable
Definitely served its purpose well. Was comfortable on mid range rides but not for anything more than 75 in my opinion
