Best Shorts
I got these off of amazon and they came 4 days before it said they would. They are pretty good, but after only one trail ride with the butt pad/inside part, my butt hurts. All of my other shorts dont have the butt pad, so I think that I am just not used to having them. Other than that, they are super high quality and super comfortable for walking too. Another plus is that they dont look like bike shorts, so you can wear them without looking like a nerd.

Awesome shorts
I saw these shorts at the store for $100, passed on the purchase and then found these here and immediately bought. Received quicker than was initially stated and these shorts are great, fit awesome!!

Comfortable
These shorts stretch and are super comfortable. Do not even bother me when riding. Optional padding inside is helpful when riding. Was surprised I would like them so much. Also, have sunglass rag attachment in one of pockets, you can remove it, but that was a bonus
Great biking shorts
I bought a pair of these at REI (size 32) and these are just great. Internal lining is detachable which allows two pieces to be used and washed separately if needed. If it's cold outside and you want to have pants on, instead of the shorts, you can still use the lining with gel padding. On the other hand, the shorts can be worn to gym or on a jog and you don't have to walk around with gel pads on. This makes shorts very useful outside of biking.
Material and stitching are of superb quality. The pockets are well placed and allow for easy access while biking and hold your items securely. I did two 50-mile rides wearing these and several training rides. I had them on while doing free-weight workouts and these were comfortable. Another feature is the ability to have a belt (even wider belts will go in fine) put through the loops, but I have not had any reason to do so yet. This could be useful for someone in security or law enforcement.

Good MTB shorts
I just ordered my second pair of these shorts. I like the protection they offer, and how breathable they are. They are definitely not outerwear, as they are see through, but work fine under a pair of baggy shorts (too bad though, as they look BA on their own). I always hand wash them, as the mesh is too fragile for the washing machine, but that's no issue.

A must own
Fits well underneath shorts, non-restrictive and tough as nails. If you're like me and you've gotten road rash on your butt or upper thigh then you know how much it sucks. If you hike the up a little high then the pads also cover the bony prominence of the hip which is also a painful thing to land on. You can either spend 30 days tending to road rash and bruises or wear these. I think its a worthy investment.
Nice Shorts.
I was looking for some added protection when free-riding. These Fox shorts provide additional protection without being too bulky or hot. The padding is a dense, semi-stiff foam that is perforated and provides good coverage for the areas most affected in a fall. The liner material is a tightly woven mesh, like most liner shorts. This creates good ventilation on hot summer rides. The chamois is adequate. Not the same as a high-end short, but, better than entry level tights.

Special note: Sizing runs "true to size". I ordered a large (I normally wear a medium in cycling tights) after reading several comments. Several people said these liners run "very small". That was not the case for me. These liners run true to size when compared to other cycling tights/liners. I returned the large and re-ordered my regular size. Remember, this is a base layer, to be worn under your baggies. The liner should fit snug to keep the padding from shifting in the event of a crash.

Great fitting
Not knowing much of how these type of shorts are supposed to fit, (I only recently started biking), I was scheptical. But they fit great, are very well made, very comfortable fit and all in all I would recommend them.

don't like inside shorts
I have very small legs and the under liner is so skin tight, it's cutting off my circulation.
i like the outer short, so i will keep them and wear my other under shorts.
little funny fitting in butt and high in the back - but nice color

Good quality if only...
Gave only three stars because of size issue. Purchased based upon size chart recomendations but they were too small despite. Cost me a return shipping fee. Boo... Otherwise a great quality product!

Ordered shorts got gloves
Ordered a pair of riding shorts and got a pair of small gloves. The cost and trouble to return the gloves is not worth it. Will give them to someone with small hands.

I am apparently having the same issue as the other customers. I placed an order for shorts and received gloves. Someone at amazon needs to take some responsibility for this one as the seller does not seem to have the part number in their system as shorts. Would be nice to get those amazingly priced shorts I ordered originally.

better even than I expected
I've been riding for many years, but I'd never bought a pair of "casual" riding shorts before, always figuring that if I was going to need a padded crotch I might as well wear normal cycling shorts. I've discovered however that if I'm riding socially with friends who aren't serious cyclists, it's nice to show up in casual clothing, and if the distance is going to be more than 10 miles or so, it's good to have pads.

As a result, I've been using these shorts once or twice a week since I got them, and I've appreciated them every time. They're comfortable and look normal.

Best Bicycle Shorts I've Found For Long Distance Riding
I bought a pair of these shorts from my local bicycle shop about 12 years ago. I found I needed some padded riding shorts after I began to ride my mountain bike 25 miles on a local bicycle trail. After purchasing my original pair, I was very much releived from the pain of taking that bicycle on long rides.

I've since bought a road bike and a touring bike. I'd been good for 50 mile bicycle rides without padded shorts for years, so the original pair got lost. Well, since I've been training to ride RAGBRAI 2012 and riding distances of anywhere from 60 to 100+ mile days, I found I needed the good ole padded shorts again. I bought 3 pairs of another brand of padded shorts here on Amazon. Haaaa .... what a joke they turned out to be. So, I found my old pair and took them out for 3 consecutive days of 60 mile rides each day. Well, I had to have more of my original shorts. I searched here on Amazon. Low and behold, they carry what I bought 12 years ago. I bought 4 more pairs...
