simply the best
This is simply the best seatpost available. It is incredibly light weight, and the one-piece CNC-machined post and bottom mount makes it reliable (many other light-weight seatposts have the mount physically pressed into the post). I have both the non-set back and set back versions of this post (27.2x240), and i think they're fantastic. The seat angle is easy to micro-adjust (and a clevery notched indicator helps you preserve settings), and the fore-aft saddle position is also simple.
Typically I'm not a weight-weenie, but there's no sense in having additional weight so high above the bicycle's center of gravity--you feel it in the climbs, cornering,... everywhere. The Thomson seatpost (married to a a good saddle) means I feel no weight or swing up top, and therefore more focus on the response of my bike on the road (at the wheels/fork and pedals/crank). The saddle's light weight also seems to mean a more comfortable ride for me; perhaps because there is less mass to develop...

Super lite and looks great
This Thomson seat post looks great and weighs 80 grams less than the stock seat post on my Specialized Epic, it's expensive but it will transfer to my next bike so I believe it's worth the price. You won't be disappointed with craftsmanship.
Awesome
Bought this after numerous reviews on other sites, and it still lives up to its reputation. It's light and rigid with a degree of flex, the offset model has me in just the right position.
Worth every cent and the shipping didn't let me down!! Forget eBay, this stuff arrived quick!
