Tools built with pride and attention to detail
I purchased this tool kit to start a professional repair business. All my life life I had been using standard mechanics tools to fix bikes.

First impression:
When I opened the tool box I noticed that the handle was screwed through the lid. Most plastic tool boxes just have a handle snapped into place with plastic tabs and such. Then as I was sorting the new tools out, I noticed that there was no hole in the handle under the top tray. Every tool box I own has a hole under the tray handle which allows small tools to fall through. Then the second tray was made out of steel, not plastic. Down at the bottom the bigger tools were inserted into dense die cut foam. ... and that's just the top quality of the tool box. Bikehand obviously pays attention to all the details!

Every tool was nicely finished. Not a single cheap item or shortcut. The Allen Keys in the picture look just like a hundred other cheap Allen Key sets but look again, they are huge as in extra long...

Worth its weight in gold
The scale was a bit pricey but Park puts out quality stuff so I know I will get my $$$$ out of it for many years. I needed a way to weigh a few bikes and parts and was going on a vacation with my wife where we planned on bringing back a lot of rum. I needed to weigh suitcases and that was enough of an excuse for me to justify the expense besides being a weight weenie. Weight is consistent over and over so far and I like that i can hang it from my rack to use it. I hang it off my jeep's hitch rack on rides to let people see that their $500 MTB bike doesn't weigh 21-lbs. That alone also made it worth the money. I would buy again, and have no problems with any of the Park products I own. I use it far more often than I thought I would. I weigh everything I can with it. Lets just say the cats went on a diet after getting this scale.

Good Scale!
Pluses:
The scale works reasonably well. It is easy to install on my bike stand, which is not made by Park Tools.

Drawbacks:
1) If your bike had a sloping top tube, it is hard to hang it from the scale, using the hooks.
The bike slides a bit, in spite of the "non-slip" sheathing on the hooks from which you hang the bike, when you weigh.

2) I bought this item under the assumption that "Park Tools, USA" meant that the item would be made in the USA, like some of the other "Park Tool, USA" items that I own.
Apparently, that is no longer the case! I believe this clearly reflected in the quality of the scale. I had to return the first one I got because the display was faulty -- would not display all digits. For instance, it would read " 7lb 05oz" instead of "37lb 05oz".

3) For a $50+ scale, I would expect the manufacturer would include the necessary batteries. Apparently, that is too much to ask!
Does the job
Nice display to read the weight and easy to press buttons. Not much you can say about this scale, it does the job it's suppose to do. Only thing I don't like about it is that it captures the weight quickly. If the bike is hanging of the hooks and swinging it can cause a slight fluctuation in weight as it swings side to side, I feel the scale doesn't allow enough time for the weight to settle to capture the measurement and can therefore give a reading that's slightly off, but not by much.

Become your own Mechanic
If you are going to get serious about using your bike to commute to and from work or doing those long rides on the weekends, then you might just want to begin doing your own maintenance. I purchased this tool set 2 weeks ago and with the help of Park Tool's online repair help, I overhauled both of my bikes. This tool set contains about everything you need, only items missing are some tools required for vintage parts (pre 90's). Save yourself the hassle and expense of going to the LBS because you do not have the tools required to strip any part off of your frame.

Good tool set, includes some items you don't need from a tool kit
I started working on my bike a few years ago and picked up a small, cheaper, set of tools at Nashbar. Later, I took an overhaul and wheel building classes at my LBS. They had Park Tools, and I just liked them better. Some were easier to use (e.g., chain tool) and some I would actually use. I wouldn't even touch my bike with the spoke wrench that came with the Nashbar kit. This kit was also missing some of what I wanted. So, I bought this kit, and supplemented with some additional, individually purchased tools (e.g., fourth hand, truing stand). The kit comes with some standard, non-bike, tools that you might not need (screwdrivers, wrenches, and my least favorite, star allen wrenches). I didn't have any decent tools anyway - so I appreciated the regular tools as well. If you have these, additional ones might not improve your life much. It also comes with some items I'd rather go without as "tools" as I already had these items (e.g., lube, grease, patch kits, chain cleaner) -...
Some good, some ok and some inferior qualiy
I spent over $300 of Park Tool wrenches and tools, including this toolbox and several additional specialty bike tools.

The tool box has most of what you need for regular situations. You may need to get a few more but inexpensive tools like a Hex (Allen) balldriver wrench set, an 8 mm Allen Wrench, etc.

Unfortunately, some of the tools and wrenches included in this toolbox are built with inferior materials and workmanship. As an example, one of the bottom bracket damage the teeth of my bottom bracket and the tool got damaged too. After the fiasco, I went to a bike shop. The tool they have is way heavier which much thicker teeth.

My advice is that even when you will spend more money in the tools itself; buy professional grade tools and wrenches. Even if you have to buy them little by little. You will save money and many headaches by being able to do the labor yourself and avoiding spending money in new parts because your tools are low quality and...

Sturdy home repair stand
I read many other reviews about how others were surprised at how sturdy this stand is, but I was still surprised myself once I got it in my hands and put my bike up. It is big, strong, and durable; this really will last you at least most of a lifetime of biking. Fully extended it can put the top of the bike over your head, so no worries about having to bend into uncomfortable positions to get anything done. "Portable" might be a bit of a stretch, as there are lighter and smaller stands out there (like the Park Tool PCS-11 Super Lite Home Mechanic Repair Stand), but this will still fold up and should fit into most cars without taking up too much space.

I went ahead and chose this over the less expensive Park Tool PCS-9 Home Mechanic Work Stand to get the quick-release clamps, which I recommend; after all, you want to spend your time...

Great bike stand
I selected the PCS-10 because it was advertised to have a better bike clamp than the PCS-9 that can hold recumbent and other unusual bikes. For the moment, I have a very traditional bike, but who knows what my next bike will be? Why not spend a little extra and get a stand that will work with whatever bike I decide to get in the future?

I'm glad I spent the extra money. The bike clamp is awesome. No doubt it can hold any kind of bike ever made. The entire stand is easy to adjust and very sturdy. This stand will last a lifetime.

The stand design is elegant -- simple and functional. The stand easily folds up when not in use.

Another home run for Park Tools.
Heavy duty work stand, well made
I purchased the Park Tool PCS-10 Home Mechanic Repair Stand as a birthday present for my son-in-law, who has been rebuilding several old bicycles for fun. When I saw his Bianci 10-speed suspended rock-solid at eye-level I knew I had made a great choice. The PCS-10 is much bigger than the pictures indicate, yet it folds up into a compact package for storage. The clamp works very well, and once the bike is in its jaws you can rotate it to just about any position you need for a convienent work position. I also purchased the Park Tool tool tray to keep tools and parts organized and at hand. This stand really makes doing both routine maintenance and repair/rebuild bike work a pleasure. No more sore knees and aching back.
