So far, so good.
I bought this bike about 8 months ago and have ridden it an average of 300 miles a month (so 2400 miles). I put the bike together and I maintain it myself . The instructions were not much help, but I have a kindle book that was. As were youtube videos - I highly recommend those! As another reviewer mentioned, the box did have a hole, but the bike was fine. All of the parts were in the box. If you order this bike, you will need allan wrenches and screwdrivers, as well as a wrench.

I have had very few problems with the bike. But one thing that did happen was as I was turning, the handlebar grip slid off, as did my hand. My body went with it, and as I landed on my shoulder and my face, it could have had disastrous results. Fortunately it didn't, but I was surprised at how flimsy that was.

Another thing that isn't listed anywhere on the packaging or instructions, is that this bike requires replacement tubes with LONG schrader valves. These are more difficult to find...

Bike is pretty - wife loves the color. Rides well enough - switching gears could use some tuning, but that is probably to be expected - will do later, since it hits all the gears I need for now.

Packaging: 3/5
Bike was delivered in a box ~ 60" x 30" x 8". There was a hole through the box, but the bike itself was undamaged. Loose components were plastic tied together solidly and extra cardboard wrapping around various frame pieces to prevent chipping.

Assembly: 2/5
Never done this before - but managed w/ a call to Manufacturer.
Printed instructions were too generic - practically no value. Issues:
1 - handlebar stem didn't fit into head tube, due to head tube lip being a little "crushed" in
2 - one of the brake cables had disconnected from the hand-brake (other was fine).
3 - Description says Quick Release front wheel, but was delivered a bolt-on wheel.
4 - Right pedal screwed in clockwise, but left pedal...
low quality
The bike arrived and I assembled it myself. No instructions came, but ok - I figured out what went where. Not coming with assembly instructions is just an example on how much they care about consumers.

Anyway, I did not manage to tune the bike and the seat (height) did not adjust. Looked stuck. I thought it was me and took it to a specialist. First look, the guy refused: "I can't adjust this. Not this gear". I insisted and he said "ok, but I'll charge the 65 dollars even if the result is not good".

Following day, picked the bike at the store. Gear 3 (heaviest) worked, 2 did not, 1 did not. So I had a 7 speed bike instead of 21? No! Because on my right hand, only gears 5 and 6 worked. So I had a 2-speed bike.

A 2-speed bike whose seat does not adjust properly (because it's stuck).

Good: good tires, light weight frame, Amazon service when I returned the bike.
Bad: Engineering, overall combination of equipment, very noisy, can't use it as...

Very nice bike, very nice price
I received this bike for a Christmas present. I had asked for it specifically after reading favorable reviews. (and, of course, based on the price!) It was pleasantly easy for my husband and I to put together and I jumped on it right away. The bike is quiet, the seat adjusts from very high to very low, even lower than what I need (I am 5'2"), and it feels sturdy. The battery powered screen has a place for your pulse, calories burned, time, miles, and speed. This bike is quiet enough to sit and watch tv while riding and you can hear your show just fine. My butt did get a little sore from the seat, but I got used to it. The bike is easy to move around with the wheels, however it does stay in place once you put it down. I recommend to anyone looking for an affordable exercise bike.

You can do better for this price
First - all these consumer bikes are made by the same company in China and branded. I've had 7 in the past 10 years from different companies. Reebok, Stamina, Sports Authority house brand, Target... it doesn't matter. They're all the same basic construction, come with the same little shrink wrapped tools, the front and back supports go on the same; I can put these together in my sleep. You can even interchange the parts. The only difference are the computers.

They will all die in 1-2 years if you use them every day.

I use mine 20 miles a day - it doesn't matter if it's a $150 model or a $700 model, they die in under two years. Pulse monitor? Rusts out or breaks in ~4 months. Straps on the pedals? Break in 3-9 months. Plastic drive belt? Minor damage in 6-9 months, fatal damage in 12-24 months that requires replacement, since you can't fix them. These things even come with a warning that if you actually try to use them seriously you could suffer 'severe injury or...
A nice exercise bike
Since I started riding my mountain bike again, I figured it would be a good time to get a stationary exercise bike so I would not have to ride outside on the very cold or wet days.

Being 6ft tall and weighing about 275 pounds, my first objective in purchasing an exercise bike was to find one with a suitable weight limit since most seem to top out at the 250 pound range. So I decided to give the Stamina 5325 a try since it has a 300 pound weight limit and the price was pretty good.

When I got it, I had the bike put together in about 30 minutes. As some have said in other reviews, the hardest part is attaching the tension cable. But all I did was push down with my thumb on the clip part and the cable slid right in to place.

So I hop on the bike figuring that I would take a 10 mile ride since I do that almost everyday on my mountain bike. I put the resistance on 4 and away I went.
I quickly found out that I would not be doing 10 miles due to the fact...

Sony Action Cam, GoPro Hero2 or Hero3
(Updated 11/26/2012) I now have GoPro Hero3 Black Edition. This review changes a bit. Although Sony is pretty good, if you can afford $399 action cam, I would go with Hero3 Black Edition. Otherwise continue with my review.

If you are OK with the following limitations of the Sony Action Cam, this little Sony Cam is absolutely fantastic. Otherwise, I would go with GoPro Hero 2 or Hero 3 Silver Edition.

1. CANNOT RECORD SOUND in 60/120FPS modes. Not that I value sound from any Action Cams inside a case, but no sound can be a deal breaker for some.

2. Underwater footage is much worse than GoPro Hero2 in terms of color (Mainly Sony auto white balance does not work underwater). The case of the Sony Action Cam also has a curve lens, so it cannot focus underwater. Sony will release the door pack that includes the flat lens dive door.

3. Severe Lens flare. Some lens flare can be a good visual effect. I am OK with it if the flare is not too much, but...

Sony Action Cam vs Hero 2
Overall this is a great product at a great price. The camera captures good detail with accurate white balance, good color and saturation, and sharpness across the field of view. The steady shot works very well, and there is a definite improvement in low light detail and noise compared to competing cameras in this segment of the market. The wifi feature works as advertised and allows easy framing and control of the settings through an IOS or Android smart phone, although it can take a while to browse the content if you have a large number of photos or videos on the card.

Pros:
White balance and auto exposure are more accurate than the go pro hero HD or Hero 2. The gopros tend to have a warmer white balance and will over expose the sky when a person is slightly back lit. The Sony will slightly under expose back lit subjects and preserve highlight detail in the sky.

proper way to use the battery

I was told by the Currie Customer Service (Chatsworth, California) that "To maximize the life of a Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) battery, you should drain it completed for three times first, then recharge it overnight after each subsequent ride". It was a bad advice; it made my battery die after first drain.

Then I bought a new battery from Amazon. Now I follow the instruction from manufacture --- Charge it fully before first use; then recharge it to full after each subsequent ride (regardless long or short) whenever possible. It also cautioned, if recharging overnight, always unplug in the morning, never leaving the battery in overcharging state for more than 24 hours. This will shorten the life of the battery.

An environmental website regarding SLA batteries for eBikes has indicated that we had better not consume more than 50% of battery's capacity before recharging; this will greatly extend its life. Conversely, using...

Extra Battery for eZip Bicycle
One of my concerns in riding an eBike was "getting caught" away from home with a dead battery. Further, knowing the distances offered as expected range on the eBikes assumed someone slightly less voluminous than me - that's a mild mannered way of stating I am somewhat rotund. So, it just made sense to have a second battery. This allows me to travel 1 battery's distance away from home, knowing I have a like amount of reserve energy to make it back. Fact is, since using the eBike, I've rarely had to use the second battery to make it home. No surprises with the eBike or the batteries - both work well, and I'm using the older SLA type of battery.m

Great until you need to replace battery
I have owned four polar heart rate monitors and bought the FT40 because of the replaceable battery option. After replacing the battery, I could not receive a signal if the receiver was more than three inches from the transmitter. Even though the transmission was picked up by the exercise equipment in the gym, Polar customer support said it was likely my chest strap. I doubted this, but made the plunge. Nope, Still didn't work. I then replaced the batteries in the transmitter and the receiver again. No luck. Customer support then told me only Sony or Panasonic batteries work. Nope, no luck there either. They want me to send it in for repairs, which of course defeats the purpose of the replaceable battery. Check the user's forum at Polar and you will see this is not an isolated problem. Stay away from this one.

Best of the FT Series
I'm a certified Personal Trainer and Spin Cycling Instructor as well as a 4x Guinness World Record Holder in various ultra endurance events. I highly recommend the FT40 because it provides total calories AND percent calories from fat, which is very helpful in weight loss training program design. It also provides total duration of workout and time spent in one's "Fat Burning" Zone (50-65% of MHR) and "Fitness Zone" (65-80% of MHR). Also provides V02 testing. The watch is very user friendly and a favorite of my clients. Price point is also good. No stopwatch feature, but thats why they made stopwatches :) I prefer the FT40 over the companion and higher priced FT60.
Makes the Difference
This device takes the guesswork out of the workout. My issue is weight loss. For me, prior to having this gizmo, the point working out was to get the calorie burn working. If I burn more calories then I take in, then I lose weight. Fitness was a byproduct.

But just how many calories did I really consume?

When I do workout, what was my average heart rate?

Peak heart rate after the stress is the killer; what was that?

Now that I have the metrics a whole new world is opening. This device is turning me into exercise freak and my wife and daughter say that is a good thing.

Excellent helmet!
I have a big head and the large fit me well. The helmet breaths very well, I was no hotter than when I just wore a standard helemt without the face shield. it is light and comfortable. Fortunately I've not needed the face shield yet, but I push myself a little more becuase I feel so protected. And the comfort is amazing. A must have for any serious mountain biker.

Awesome Helmet
The Remedy Carbon is solid helmet. Its one of the more affordable carbon fiber offerings out there and for the price its great. Its very light and very comfortable. Comfort for helmets though does ultimately depend on how it fits a particular head. But if this one fits ok, its comfortable. I have owned 2 of these. I broke the first in a hard crash (which the helmet is supposed to do). My head was fine though, the helmet did its job. Giro offers a decent crash replacement policy where they will give you I think it was 35% off a new helmet if you wreck yours in a crash. Keep in mind in a helmet is supposed to break in a real hard crash, that's how it protects your head.
Excellent protection, lightweight, and stylish too!
This is a great helmet - very light for the protection it offers. It will start off a bit snug, and my hurt your head a bit, but then it breaks in and feels wonderful. It does not move around while riding, which is important for safety reasons. Also, it is HOT lookin', which the girly girl in me appreciates.. but also tough lookin', to suit the tomboy side that requires said helmet :-)
