Not my favorates
Rant - They look like they should be good brakes. The issue I have with them is that they become soft quickly. I have had them bleed to make them better. Last time I took the bike out of the garage the brake levers pulled completely to the handlebars. This is scary because I start to question weather it would fail during a ride. I have Magura Louise brakes on another bike and they are so much better then the elixer 5.

Wrong adapters
How can Amazon sell a disc brake with a 200mm rotor, and include adapters that support every other size but the rotor included? This is something that should have been mentioned from the start. So I changed the hub on my bike since the original hub couldn't support the rotor, and when I go to install the brake itself, it's a no go becausre the wrong adapter was in the box! That is something that should be in the item description, but it's not of course. If you plan on getting the larger size rotor (and in the case of disc brakes, larger is better), make sure you get an adapter at the same time just in case. I'd like to tell you if the brakes are any good, but I can't since they can't be mounted yet. I'll update this review once I can.
Update: SO I jerry-rigged something so that I could mount the brake. Its stopping power is considerable. If you try and brake hard with this you will definitely feel it. The only problem I'm having is that the pads don't return to the rest...
great brakes
i love the stopping power. easy to install . you can ride all day and enjoy the braking power of the elixer 5.
