Thomson X4 Stem Black, 0Deg/100mm
The Thomson X4 Stem is stronger and lighter than their older Elite stem. A good part of this weight savings comes from the change in design. Where the Elite used an internal wedge clamp, this X4 relies on a more traditional split clamp for the steerer interface. While it meant losing the knee-saving shape on the Elite, the clamp bolts are pretty minimal given the sculpted design. The Thomson X4 Stem is CNC machined from 7000 series aluminum alloy. It has a 31.8mm clamp diameter. It's available in Black or Silver and with a zero (90) or ten (100) degree rise.
With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.

Thomson make THE best MTB Stem.
If you want strength, stiffness and reliability...Buy a Thomson bicycle stem!...I have been mountainbiking for 15 years and I have found the Thomson aluminum stem to be an excellent stem when "weighing" strength vs. weight vs. durability...All my race bikes use Thomson stems - light enough and very confidence-inspiring with the 4-bolt front plate...'nuff said...Ride On!
Stiff and light everything it's described to be.
I like this stem a lot! I tried a Truvativ AKA of the same dims and it was a flexy mess. This one is way better designed and handling is improved going from a 90mm to this 80mm instead of lessened like with the AKA.
