I used this tire in the front with a Crossmark in the back.Great tire. GREAT grip. You can rail corners. Def faster rolling than the Nevegal BUT not crazy fast. The 2.35 LUST (UST) is heavy for XC. Go with the 2.1 if you are worried about weight. Best suite for more agg XC/Trail or 29er.

The best...
This is by far one of the best handling front tires that I have owned!! Not being affraid to rail it in the corners and coming out on top is definatly a good thing to have :) go maxxis!!
Great tire
Fast tire with excellent traction on dirt. Climbs well on loose rocks and controllable on mud and sand. I needed a good all purpose tire for fun rides and weekend races this exceeded my expectations. I mounted this on a non UST rim (ghetto tubless) and Had no problem getting it to seal.
