I have been riding and racing for 28 years. If you are expecting a $1000 wheel set, these aren't. But these are what I would expect for $350-$500. I bought these for my son. They were about 1mm out of true, and the bearings were just a bit too tight. Only took a few minutes to adjust to near perfect. They were however nearly perfectly round. This was a very pleasant surprise. For the price, you will have a very difficult time finding something better. My son rides to and from work every day on these. Should there be any complications, I'll follow-up here. BTW, the out of true could certainly have been cause by UPS. :)

Areomaxx 700c wheelset
Bought the wheelset in mid summer, exceeded expectations. ridden daily in center city philladelphia, handles pot holes, drains, man hole covers and still performs. great wheels for the money.
not on a MTB oops.
riding these puppies in nyc streets (not the smoothest) they are holding up very well. i am a 5'10" 200lbs rider who forgets he is not on his full suspension bike MTB until i run over a bump. lol i expected to be truing these wheelset by now its been over 5 months now still going on strong. might do the NYC Century in Sept 12,2010 with them.
