Best map holder for adventure racing and mountain bike orienteering!!!
I've been running the AR Navigation Supplies MBO-2 Rotating map holder on my bike for a year or so now. It has seen it's use in 4 hour sprint adventure races to events longer than 30 hours (every event has included a section of mountain-bike orienteering). Previously I've used the AXIS map holder as well as a do-it-yourself version that I made myself. I have also used various handlebar map bags/holders. Finally, I've also raced with people who run the MIRY map board - so I've seen that one in action.
I can tell you that the AR Nav Supplies map holder wins hands-down.

AR Nav Supplies; Great Company and Great products
Among the many products I use from AR Nav Supplies, the rotating mountain bike holder is the most usefull. I adventure race with my wife and we actually have two holders. They are easy to mount, can take the abuse of multi-day adventure racing, and very simply to use.
We also find ourselves using them when we are not racing and trying out a new park or territory. We put the park map on and just ride.
I also like the price.

I wouldn't say I'm a hardcore adventure racer, but I am a hardcore gear hound. I like to have the best equipment for whatever sport I'm participating in. I played around with a bunch of map holders before I settled on AR Nav Supplies. I found the product to be light weight, easy to install and easy to hold a variety of maps / various papers I need when racing. The company is very responsive when I had a question (regarding another product they sell). I highly recommend this item for anyone that needs to run a map on the bike.
